REQUESTED A 30 DEG L TURN E AS TXWY Q JOINS RWY 27L PAD. OUR FLT IS #2 BEHIND A BEECH 1900 COMMUTER. APCHING PAD; COPLT TURNS TO HIS L TO RETRIEVE ACARS MESSAGE. THE FO IS STARTLED TO SEE THROUGH THE L REAR SIDE COCKPIT WINDOW; AN ACFT CLOSING IN ON US FROM OUR L REAR SIDE HIS REACTION PROMPTED MY TURNING AROUND TO THE L AND LOOKING BACK AT THE L WING I SAW A DASH 8 COMING RIGHT AT US ON TXWY P. IMMEDIATELY APPLIED FULL BRAKE TO STOP OUR 5-6 KT FORWARD MOTION. THE DASH 8 COMMUTER VEERED L OFF TXWY P FROM A SE HDG TO E JUST N OF WHERE TXWY P JOINS TXWY Q IN RWY 27L PAD. THE DASH 8 PASSED JUST AHEAD OF THE L WING. AS THE DASH 8 ALTERED COURSE; THE HUGH T-TAIL SWUNG AROUND JUST AHEAD OF THE WING AND L ENG. LOOKING DOWN INTO THE DASH 8 COCKPIT I COULD SEE THE COPLT GLANCING OVER AT HIS CAPT. THE DASH 8 CONTINUED E PAST MAINT HANGAR TO REMOTE PARKING. SWITCHED BACK TO GND CTL; RPTED EVASIVE ACTION; REQUESTED FLT NUMBER OF DASH 8. GND CTL SAID HE COULD NOT GIVE TO ME AND WOULD HAVE DCPA RAMP VEHICLE CHK IT OUT.
