ACFT DAMAGED - ACR TAXIING INTO GATE STRIKES ADJACENT PARKED ACR.

Narrative

DURING THE TAXI PHASE OF FLT AT ORD; AS WE WERE BEING MARSHALLED INTO THE SPOT AT OUR RAMP AREA; OUR L WINGTIP TOUCHED THE R WINGTIP OF THE ACFT LOCATED IN THE SPOT NEXT TO US. THIS CREATED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WINGTIPS OF EACH ACFT. AS WE WERE TAXIING WBOUND ON THE 'H' TXWY; THE CAPT PICKED UP THE DIRECTIONS OF THE LEAD MARSHALLER WHO WAS STANDING AT THE FRONT OF OUR SPOT. FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS OF THE LEAD MARSHALLER WE PICKED UP THE EXTENDED CTRLINE OF OUR SPOT. THE CAPT TOLD ME TO WATCH THE MARSHALLER AND TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE R SIDE OF THE ACFT; AND THAT HE WOULD WATCH THE L SIDE AND THE WING WALKER; WHO WAS LOCATED NEAR THE NOSE OF THE SPOT NEXT TO US; THE CAPT ADVISED ME TO LET HIM KNOW OF ANY CHANGE. A FEW MOMENTS LATER THE LEAD MARSHALLER INDICATED THE STOP SIGNAL. I SAID 'STOP' THE CAPT STOPPED THE ACFT. THE LEAD MARSHALLER THEN SIGNALLED US TO CONTINUE UP TO THE SHUTDOWN POINT WHICH WE DID. WE WERE TAXIING SLOW AND I DID NOT HEAR OR FEEL THE COLLISION. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE POSTFLT THAT I NOTICED THE DAMAGE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 301747: ACFT #1 PARKED; CHOCKED AND STATIONARY; NO PAX ONLY CREW. ACFT CTRED PROPERLY IN PARKING SPACE; NAV LIGHTS ON. CREW; ALL IN CABIN SITTING; FELT THE ACFT SHUDDER; LURCH HORIZLY AND HEARD A MUFFLED SCRAPING SOUND. ALL 3 CREW LOOKED OUT R SIDE OF ACFT #1 AND SAW ACFT #2 TAXIING BY TO PARK; VERY CLOSE. CAPT OF ACFT #1 THEN INSPECTED R WINGTIP OF ACFT #1; NOTICED DAMAGED TO WINGTIP AND BROKEN BITS OF RED AND GREEN GLASS ON GND. SAME CAPT OF ACFT #1 THEN WALKED OVER TO THE L WINGTIP OF ACFT #2; INSPECTED AND SAW FRESH LOOKING DAMAGE. GND CREWS AND THE FLC OF ACFT #2 THEN ADMITTED TO TAXIING ACFT #2 INTO WINGTIP OF ACFT #1.
