Narrative
ON APR/MON/95 I WAS THE CAPT ON A SERIES OF 3 FLTS FOR MY REGIONAL AIRLINE. DURING THE FIRST FLT FROM DFW TO LBB; A WOMAN PAX HAD DIFFICULTY BREATHING DUE TO AN ASTHMA PROB AND ASKED THE FLT ATTENDANT IF SHE COULD USE OUR ON- BOARD OXYGEN BOTTLE. THE FLT ATTENDANT NOT ONLY LET HER USE BOTTLE #1; BUT ALLOWED HER TO USE BOTTLE #2 AND TAKE IT WITH HER OFF THE AIRPLANE WHEN WE ARRIVED IN LUBBOCK. I WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY OF THIS UNTIL WE WERE 1/2 WAY BACK ON OUR RETURN TO DFW. ALTHOUGH WE WERE NOT LEGAL FOR THAT FLT THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO UNTIL OUR ARR AT DFW. WHILE WE WERE UNLOADING BAGS AT LBB; ONE OF THE RAMPERS NOTICED OUR FIRE EXTINGUISHER IN THE REAR CABIN AREA NEEDED TO BE SVCED AT ONCE AND TOLD THE FLT ATTENDANT. HOWEVER; SHE DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT IT UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING AFTER WE HAD FLOWN LBB-DFW AND DFW-TUL MAKING 2 ILLEGAL FLTS. I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. THE OXYGEN BOTTLES WERE RECHARGED/REPLACED IN DFW; BUT A MECH HAD TO DRIVE FROM DFW TO TUL AND BRING A NEW FIRE EXTINGUISHER BEFORE WE COULD DEPART LEGALLY THE NEXT MORNING. IF THE FLT ATTENDANTS HAD FOLLOWED PROPER PROCS AND TOLD ME ABOUT THESE INCIDENTS AS SOON AS THEY HAPPENED; SOME PAX WOULD HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENCED DUE TO THE DELAYS IN RECHARGING/REPLACING THE EFFECTED EQUIP; BUT WE WOULD NOT HAVE OPERATED THE FLTS ILLEGALLY.
