UNAUTH LNDG. ACR LANDS WITH A CLRNC AND WITHOUT TALKING TO TWR.

Narrative

WHILE WITH FAY APCH I WAS CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH. NORMALLY I SET THE TWR FREQ (118.3) IN STANDBY TO REMIND MYSELF OF THE CLRNC. AT THIS TIME THE FO (PF) CALLED FOR LNDG CHKLIST AND I PROCEEDED TO GO GEAR DOWN AND TO FINISH THE CHKLIST FORGETTING TO PUT IN TWR FREQ. APCH PASSED ME OFF TO TWR (118.4). I THEN DIALED IN THE INCORRECT FREQ AND CALLED TWR; AFTER WHICH I CONTINUED WITH THE CHKLIST. I CALLED TWR WHILE FINISHING THE CHK; BUT DID NOT NOTICE THAT I GOT NO RESPONSE. WE PROCEEDED TO LAND AND ON ROLLOUT WE (I) REALIZED THAT WE HAD LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC. WE THEN CONTACTED THE TWR AND WERE THEN CLRED TO THE RAMP. THIS MISTAKE DID NOT DISRUPT THE ARPT OPS IN ANYWAY. I USUALLY DIAL IN THE TWR FREQ AFTER RECEIVING APCH (INST) OR VISUAL CLRNC. THIS I DO BY LOOKING AT APCH PLATE FOR THE CORRECT FREQ. I DID NOT DO THIS GOING INTO FAY. INSTEAD; I DIALED IN THE INCORRECT FREQ GIVEN TO ME BY APCH AND DID NOT VERIFY BY LOOKING AT APCH PLATE. OF COURSE; I DID NOT GET A REPLY ON INCORRECT FREQ; MY MISTAKE. DUE TO FATIGUE I CONTINUED TO LAND WITHOUT CLRNC. I WAS TIRED AND IN A RUT ASSUMING I WAS CLRED TO LAND AS USUAL!
