PROP BRAKE ON AND TKOF ABORTED.
Narrative
I FIRST STARTED ENG #2 WITH PROP BRAKE ENGAGED; HOWEVER; THE RAMP WANTED TO LOAD SOME MORE BAGS IN THE AFT CARGO BIN SO I SHUTDOWN ENG #2 AND STARTED ENG #1 TO KEEP PWR AND AIRCONDITIONING. AFTER THE BAGS WERE LOADED; I STARTED ENG #2 AGAIN. AT THIS POINT IT STARTED RAINING AND I BEGAN TO TXWY FROM THE GATE SO THE RAMP PEOPLE COULD GET OUT OF THE RAIN. WHILE TAXING FROM THE GATE; WE NOTICED THE EFIS WAS NOT ERECT. I NOTICED THAT THE COMPASS ROSE ON THE LOWER CRT HAD HUNG UP IN THE 80-90 SECOND RANGE. MORE THAN 3 MINS HAD PASSED AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ERECT. AS WE WENT THROUGH THE CHKLIST; I WAS SIMULTANEOUSLY TRYING TO SOLVE THE EFIS PROB. THE TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME THE EFIS PROB WAS CORRECTED. ACKNOWLEDGE THE CLRNC AND WE RAN THROUGH THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST. I THEN MOVED ONTO THE RWY. WE HAD JUST BEGUN TO ADD PWR AND IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THE TORQUE AND WP INDICATIONS WERE ZERO; I TAXIED THE ACFT CLR OF THE RWY AND RELEASED THE PROP BRAKE. WE WENT THROUGH THE AFTER-START; TAXI AND BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST AGAIN AND DEPARTED WITHOUT INCIDENT. I HAVE REVIEWED THE MOMENTS BEFORE THE INCIDENT AND CONCLUDED THAT MY HEALTH; 'FLU AND COLD;' INSOMNIA; BEING PUSHED AND OVERWORKED BY FLT CTL DESPITE MY DISAPPROVAL AND LETTING A SMALL PROB DIVERT MY ATTN LEND TO THIS INCIDENT.
