WX DEV; ATC PLT CONFLICT.

Narrative

ANY TIME TSTMS ARE DEVELOPING; PLTS' AND CTLRS' WORKLOAD INCREASES SIGNIFICANTLY DUE TO COURSE DEVS AND THE NEED TO MAINTAIN MINIMUM ACFT SEPARATION. UPON LEAVING SLC; MY CLRNC TOOK ME STRAIGHT THROUGH AN AREA OF CONVECTIVE ACTIVE WITH AN ACTIVE SIGMET AROUND THE AREA. AS MY RADAR BEGAN 'PAINTING' ECHOES; I ASKED FOR DEVS TO PARALLEL THE SQUALL LINE UNTIL I FOUND A HOLE OF ADEQUATE SIZE TO CROSS THROUGH. ALL THIS TIME I WAS WITH THE SLC DEP CTLR WHO DID A WONDERFUL JOB OF SEQUENCING ALL THE TFC. UPON HDOF TO CTR; I WAS RUDELY ANSWERED AFTER CHKING IN AND PROMPTLY INSTRUCTED THAT HE NEEDED ME DIRECT TWF WITHIN 5 NM. I TOLD HIM I WOULD DO THE BEST I COULD; BUT HE RESPONDED THAT HE NEEDED ME DIRECT TWF. AT THIS POINT I WAS ALREADY TIRED AFTER FLYING EARLY AND BEING NEAR THE END OF MY 14 HR DUTY DAY. NOW THE CTLR WAS TRYING TO KILL ME AND PAX AND THAT PISSED ME OFF. FORTUNATELY I GOT AROUND THE LINE OF TSTMS AND THAT WAS ALSO THE END OF THAT PORTION OF THE CONVERSATION. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS ROUTINE. I FEEL THE CTLR WAS TAKING SOME OF HIS FRUSTRATIONS OUT ON ME AND WAS ALSO HAVING DIFFICULTY KEEPING THE SYS WORKING PROPERLY. OBVIOUSLY; FATIGUE WAS HAMPERING THE CTLR'S PERFORMANCE AND IT GAVE ME A MUCH QUICKER TEMPER. I DID NOT LIKE THE CTLR'S TELLING ME WHEN MY DEVS WOULD END. WHAT DID HE EXPECT ME TO DO -- STOP? NO SOLUTION; JUST WANTED SOMEONE TO KNOW ABOUT IT.
