ACR FLC ACCEPTED TWR CTLR 'POS AND HOLD' CLRNC OF OTHER COMPANY ACFT.

Narrative

WE WERE CLRED FOR TAXI BY PHX GND CTL E ON TXWY D BEHIND COMPANY ACFT. GND SPECIFICALLY SAID WE WERE SEQUENCED BEHIND OUR COMPANY ACFT WHICH MADE US #5 FOR TKOF. AFTER OUR COMPANY WAS CLRED FOR TKOF; WE TAXIED UP TO THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 26L. AT THAT TIME 2 SMALLER COMMUTER ACFT TAXIED UP TO OUR R SIDE ON TXWY E. TWR SUBSEQUENTLY CLRED THESE 2 ACFT FOR TKOF. THE TWR KNEW WE WERE THERE; FOR SHE HAD TO ASK THEM IF THEY COULD TAXI AROUND US. SHE APPARENTLY DIDN'T KNOW WHO WE WERE. SHE DIDN'T ASK WHO WE WERE. SHE SUBSEQUENTLY CLRED AN ACFT INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 26L. THE CAPT AND I THOUGHT THE TWR CTLR SAID 'COMPANY FLT XXX; CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD.' I SPECIFICALLY AND DELIBERATELY READ BACK COMPANY FLT XXX; CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD WITH EMPHASIS ON THE XXX. TWR DID NOT RESPOND BACK; SO WE TAXIED INTO POS. TWR THEN CLRED COMPANY XXX FOR TKOF. WE RESPONDED WE WERE COMPANY XXXX IN POS. TWR RESPONDED 'WHO ARE YOU? I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ON YOU.' SHE THEN SAID STAND BY AND ASKED US OUR DEST. WE SAID ONTARIO. SHE SAID WE LOST YOUR STRIP; OH HERE IT IS; YOU'RE CLRED FOR TKOF. SHE THEN ASKED TO GIVE HER A CALL FROM ONTARIO. THE CAPT CALLED FROM ONTARIO AND DISCUSSED THE EVENTS THAT HAPPENED. THE SUPVR SAID COMPANY XXX HAD BEEN CLRED INTO POS; NOT COMPANY XXXX. THE SUPVR SAID HIS GND CTLR DOESN'T REMEMBER US CALLING. GND CTL WAS BUSY AT THE TIME BUT WE DEFINITELY CALLED AND HE DEFINITELY GAVE US TAXI CLRNC. THAT'S PROBABLY WHY OUR STRIP WASN'T PASSED ALONG.
