Narrative
NEW SO ON 1ST IOE TRIP COPIED SLC ATIS FOR US ON TKOF/LAND CARD; FAILED TO INCLUDE NOTATION ABOUT RWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THE CAUTION NOTED ON ATIS ABOUT NOT LINING UP ON THE RWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. INITIALLY TOLD TO EXPECT A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 35; WE BRIEFED FOR THAT APCH. CLOSE-IN; WE WERE RECLRED FOR VISUAL TO RWY 34. WE HURRIEDLY SET UP FOR THAT APCH. LOC AND OM WERE OTS FOR RWY 34. I LOOKED AT MY RWY 34 ILS APCH CHART AND NOTED THAT RWY 34 WAS THE W-MOST RWY DEPICTED ON THE CHART. HURRIEDLY FLIPPED THROUGH MY CHARTS TO CONFIRM THE RWY (SINCE LOC WAS INOP); AND FOUND 'LOW VISIBILITY TAXI RTES' CHART FOR SLC. CHART SAID THAT RWY 34 WAS INDEED THE W-MOST RWY. NEITHER LOW VISIBILITY; OR RWY 34 APCH CHART DEPICTED RWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. AS A 3RD AND FINAL CHK; I ASKED THE CAPT TO CONFIRM THAT RWY 34 WAS TO THE FAR W SIDE. HE AGREED. IT WAS DUSK; NO LOC AND LACKING SUFFICIENT INFO; WE LINED UP ON THE RWY TO THE FAR W; WHICH WAS THE RWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. ABOUT 3 MI OUT; TWR CALLED TO MAKE SURE WE WERE LINED UP ON RWY 34. WE SIDE- STEPPED TO RWY 34 AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
