C-207 LOSES LIFT ON TKOF; PERFORMS AN OFF ARPT LNDG WHEN PLT LOSES CTL OF ACFT. SHORT FIELD TKOF.

Narrative

IN JUL/XX/95; I WAS FLYING A CESSNA 207 FROM SERPENTINE HOT SPRINGS IN ALASKA. I HAD LOADED 4 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN ONTO THE ACFT. THE GROSS WT WAS 3300 LBS. MY TKOF DISTANCE WAS ESTIMATED AT 850-900 FT. THE RWY IS 1300 FT LONG WITH 3 FT SHRUBS ON THE E END. THERE WAS A 15 KT WIND BLOWING FROM THE E-NE. I COMPLETED A RUNUP; SET THE AIRPLANE UP FOR A SHORT FIELD TKOF; AND TAXIED TO THE W END. I THEN TURNED THE ACFT AROUND; APPLYING FULL PWR UPON REACHING RWY LINE-UP. THE ACFT ACCELERATED NORMALLY. THE NOSE CAME UP AT THE 1/3 POINT; THE MAINS THEN BECAME LIGHT AT 2/3 RWY; AND THE ACFT LIFTED OFF AT 3/4 RWY. THE ACFT ACCELERATED IN GND EFFECT; THEN BEGAN CLBING. SHORTLY AFTER WE CROSSED THE BRUSH LINE; THE ACFT ENCOUNTERED MECHANICALLY INDUCED WINDSHEAR AND DOWN DRAFTS. THE STALL HORN WENT OFF AND THE ACFT BEGAN TO SLOW. THEN THE ACFT SHUDDERED AND BEGAN TO SINK TOWARD THE BRUSH. THE ACFT SETTLED INTO THE BRUSH ABOUT 500 FT BEYOND THE RWY. ALL OCCUPANTS GOT OUT OF THE AIRPLANE AND WENT BACK TO THE BUILDING. WE WERE PICKED UP BY 2 PVT AIRPLANES LATER THAT DAY.
