AT BZN; ARPT ADVISORIES ARE HANDLED BY FSS; ALL CLRNCS ARE HANDLED BY ZLC. RECEIVED ARPT AND TA FROM BZN FSS AND THEN CONTACTED ZLC DURING TAXI-OUT. RECEIVED CLRNC AND READ BACK TO CTR. NO RESPONSE. READ BACK CLRNC SECOND TIME. AGAIN; NO RESPONSE. CALLED ZLC WITHOUT READING BACK CLRNC. ZLC: 'GO AHEAD.' ACFT: 'YES; MA'AM; WAS WONDERING ABOUT MY CLRNC.' ZLC: 'IS THERE SOMETHING YOU WISH TO CHANGE?' ACFT: 'NO; I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF MY READBACK WAS CORRECT.' ZLC: 'IF I DON'T CALL YOU BACK; THEN IT'S OK.' ACFT: 'I WOULD LIKE CONFIRMATION THAT MY READBACK IS CORRECT.' ZLC: 'IT'S NOT NECESSARY.' ACFT: 'ZLC PLEASE CONFIRM READBACK CORRECT.' ZLC THEN CONFIRMED THAT MY CLRNC WAS ACCEPTABLE; IN NONSTANDARD TERMINOLOGY. UPON ARRIVING GTF; CONTACTED THE GTF SUPVR VIA PHONE. EXPLAINED THE SIT. HE ALSO HAD NOT HEARD OF NOT RESPONDING TO CLRNC READBACKS. HE CONTACTED ZLC SUPVR. ZLC SUPVR CONTACTED ME. I EXPLAINED SIT. HE SAID THEY WOULD PULL TAPES AND SPEAK WITH CTLR. I RETURNED TO BZN ON AUG/XX/95. LEAVING BZN; I COPIED MY CLRNC AND READ IT BACK. ZLC'S REPLY WAS 'AFFIRMATIVE.' I DID NOT PURSUE THE ISSUE.
