FLT ATTENDANT INJURED DURING FLT IN TURB.

Narrative

DURING DSCNT FROM FL280; TURNED ON SEAT BELT SIGN AT BEGINNING OF DSCNT. ALSO TALKED WITH FLT ATTENDANTS AND TOLD THEM THERE MIGHT BE SOME CHOP IN DSCNT AND TO PUT THINGS AWAY EARLY. THERE WAS NO RPTED CHOP OR TURB AT THIS TIME. PASSING OVER PORTL INTXN; ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TURB LASTING APPROX 15 SECONDS. MADE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR FLT ATTENDANTS TO SIT DOWN. MADE RPT TO CTR ABOUT TURB. HAD FO SLOW TO 250 KTS. CALLED FLT ATTENDANT. SHE SAID EVERYONE WAS DOWN AND OK. NO FURTHER TURB IN DSCNT. ONLY OCCASIONAL LIGHT CHOP. CONTINUED INBOUND TO PDX AND MADE NORMAL APCH AND LNDG. AFTER PARKING AT GATE IN PDX; FIRST FLT ATTENDANT ADVISED ME OF INJURY TO OTHER FLT ATTENDANT. DECISION WAS MADE TO CALL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. FLT ATTENDANT WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL. WENT WITH FLT ATTENDANT TO HOSPITAL. DOCTOR SAID XRAYS; AT THAT TIME; DID NOT SHOW ANY BROKEN BONES. FLT ATTENDANT WAS RELEASED TO GO TO HOTEL. WAS ADVISED ON DEC/XX/95 THAT FLT ATTENDANT HAD IN FACT BROKEN A BONE. AREA WX WAS MULTI LAYERS. NO TURB RPTS OTHER THAN LIGHT CHOP. NO CUMULO NIMBUS OR RW'S RPTED OR SEEN. ONE RW SEEN ON FINAL APCH TO PDX.
