Narrative
OUR CITATION WAS ON FINAL APCH TO THE SLN ARPT RWY 35. THE CREW MEMBERS HAD RECEIVED A CLRNC TO LAND FROM THE SALINA CTL TWR. SALINA FIELD CONDITIONS WERE NIGHT VFR. AS THE CITATION'S NOSEWHEEL TOUCHED DOWN THE SPD BRAKES AND THRUST REVERSERS WERE DEPLOYED. AT THAT POINT THE LNDG LIGHTS OF THE CITATION PICKED UP A LIGHT; THEN A SINGLE-ENG AIRPLANE ON THE R SIDE OF RWY 35. THE CREW MEMBERS OF THE CITATION TOOK APPROPRIATE ACTION BY STEERING THE AIRPLANE TO THE L TO AVOID HITTING THE STOPPED AIRPLANE ON RWY 35. THE CREW MEMBERS MADE CONTACT WITH THE CTL TWR TO ADVISE THEM THERE IS AN UNLIGHTED AIRPLANE ON THE APCH END OF RWY 35. THE CTL TWR DID NOT KNOW THAT THE AIRPLANE WAS ON THE RWY. ON TAXI OUT FOR TKOF THE CREW MEMBERS ASKED THE CTL TWR WHAT HAD BEEN LEARNED ABOUT THE INCIDENT. THE CTLR RPTED THE ACFT TO BE AN OLD VINTAGE AIRPLANE WITH NO RADIOS AND BATTERY POWERED NAV LIGHTS. THE CTLR SAID THE PLT COULD NOT LAND AT INTENDED DEST DUE TO FOG AND THAT SALINA WAS THE FIRST ARPT THAT THE PLT SAW FOR A LNDG. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE DONE TO OUR CITATION AND NO ONE WAS INJURED.
