IAH IS A STATION THAT WE; A COMMUTER AIRLINE; SHARE WITH OUR MAJOR AIRLINE FLTS. THE MAJOR AIRLINE'S EMPLOYEES WORK OUR FLTS; INCLUDING RAMP AGENTS. OUR CARGO WEIGHTS LOAD MANIFEST; GIVEN TO ME BY RAMP AGENT; SHOWED: CARGO AREA 1 - 231 LBS; AREA 2 - 282 LBS (AREA 1 AND 2 ARE BEHIND COCKPIT; FORWARD INDEX); AREA 3 - 353 LBS; AREA 4 - 30 LBS (AREA 3 AND 4 ARE IN TAIL SECTION OF ACFT; AFT INDEX). FO CALCULATED OUR WT AND BAL FOR OUR FLT WITH 64 PAX ON BOARD (ALL SEATS FULL). I CALCULATED CTR OF GRAVITY FOR OUR FLT. WE WERE IN OUR FORWARD CAUTION ZONE FOR CTR OF GRAVITY; BUT LEGAL. DURING TKOF ROLL IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO ROTATE ACFT. I USED A LOT OF NOSE UP TRIM AFTER LIFT OFF. WE HAD DFW RAMP CHK OUR CARGO WTS AFTER LNDG. (I ADDED 10 KTS TO LNDG SPD TO KEEP FULL EFFECTIVENESS OF ELEVATOR; ALSO 5 UNITS OF NOSE UP TRIM COMPARED TO 3 1/2 FOR NORMAL LNDG.) WE FOUND: AREA 1 - 197 LBS; AREA 2 - 611 LBS; AREA 3 - 400 LBS; AREA 4 - 20 LBS. AREA 2 HAD 6 LARGE BOXES IN IT. IT TOOK 2 RAMPERS TO UNLOAD EACH BOX; SUGGESTING THEY WERE HEAVIER EVEN THAN DFW RAMP COUNTED THEM AS 2 BAG WTS (45 LBS) PER BOX. I ESTIMATE CARGO 2 TO HAVE 850 LBS IN IT. WE WERE OUT OF FORWARD CTR OF GRAVITY; EVEN WITH JUST 611 LBS IN AREA 2 -- DANGEROUS.
