Narrative

DSCNT ON THE (JAMMN.JAMMN1) STAR TO SLC FOR LNDG S CONSISTS OF 6 ALT REFS; 6 TRACK SEGMENTS AND UTILIZES 3 NAVAIDS. THE LAST 4 SEGMENTS ARE 20; 7; 9 AND 12 MI IN LENGTH (TIME COMPRESSION) AND EACH SEGMENT ENDS WITH A DIFFERENT ALT RESTR. DURING THIS ARR; WE WERE TWICE VECTORED OFF THE ARR (FOR SPACING) AND TWICE CLRED TO REINTERCEPT AND RESUME THE ARR. IN ADDITION WE WERE GIVEN 2 AIRSPD CHANGES. DSCNT CHKLISTS AND PRELNDG BRIEFINGS MUST ALSO BE FITTED INTO THIS BUSY TIME SCHEDULE. OUR ALT REMINDER WAS SET TO THE APPROPRIATE ALT FOR ALL XING RESTRS AND ALTHOUGH BUSY (AS PNF); I OBSERVED NO DEVS AND NONE WERE OBSERVED BY THE OTHER PLTS. AFTER LNDG I WAS ASKED TO MAKE A PHONE CALL TO APCH CTL WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT WE HAD CROSSED SPIEK 'SLIGHTLY LOW.' AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED; NONE OF THE CREW MEMBERS COULD RECALL ANY ALTDEV DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS. THIS MAY INDICATE THAT MAYBE WE ARE BEING ASKED TO ACCOMPLISH TOO MUCH IN TOO SHORT OF A TIME. THEREFORE; IT IS MY RECOMMENDATION THAT ARR SPACING ON THIS PARTICULAR APCH (IF LEFT IN THE PRESENT FORMAT) BE ACCOMPLISHED AT; OR BEFORE THE DELTA VORTAC SO THAT THE ARR CAN BE FLOWN AS DEPICTED. THAT ARR IS 'BUSY ENOUGH' WITHOUT VECTORS AND AIRSPD CHANGES FOR SPACING.
