Narrative
THE PROB STARTED WITH ME THINKING THAT I WAS AT DOUBLE EAGLE NEAR ALBUQUERQUE; NM. NOBODY WAS ANSWERING MY RADIO CALLS. I FLEW AROUND WHAT WAS ACTUALLY FOUR CORNERS REGIONAL 2 TIMES AT A 3 MI RADIUS. I SAW AN ACFT LAND AND DECIDED TO SET UP FOR LNDG ON THAT RWY (RWY 5). IN THE MEANTIME; THE TWR HAD CHANGED RWYS TO RWY 7 AND HAD A BEECH 1900 ON FINAL. I SAW THE B1900 TOUCH DOWN JUST BEFORE I WAS ABOUT TO TOUCH DOWN. I DID A MISSED APCH AND LANDED AT AZTEC AS I ONLY HAD 45 MINS FUEL LEFT. AFTER FIGURING OUT WHERE I WAS AT AND GETTING RIGHT FREQS; I TOOK OFF FROM AZTEC TO FOUR CORNERS REGIONAL AND STILL WAS UNABLE TO MAKE RADIO CONTACT ON 118.9. MY RADIO WAS SOUNDING GARBLED EVEN ON INTERCOM. I CIRCLED THE ARPT TO IDENT TFC AND RECEIVE LIGHT SIGNALS. I SAW TFC BUT NO LIGHT SIGNALS. I DECIDED THE SAFEST THING TO DO WAS LINE UP BEHIND TFC AND LAND. I LANDED BEHIND A SKY MASTER AND WAS ABLE TO FUEL UP. THE SKY MASTER WAS ALSO TALKED TO FOR NO RADIO COM AND THE TWR SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN GIVING ME A RED LIGHT. WHILE ON THE GND I WAS ABLE TO GET RADIO COM -- ABLE TO DEPART.
