Narrative
I TOOK OFF FROM SPRING CREEK. I COULD NOT PUT ON ENOUGH FUEL TO GET TO LITTLE ROCK; BECAUSE THE RWY WAS SHORT; 3300 FT; AND THE TEMP WAS IN THE 90'S. ABOUT 15 MINS INTO THE FLT; I REALIZED I HAD LEFT MY CHART AT SPRING CREEK WHERE I'D TAKEN IT OUT OF ANOTHER ACFT TO PLOT THE COURSE AND SELECT FUEL STOPS. I FOUND A '95 CHART IN THE 414 WHICH I PROCEEDED TO USE. I HAD PLANNED TO LAND AT DIXON ARPT AFTER ABOUT 1 HR FLT TIME; BUT I WAS UNABLE TO RAISE ANYONE ON UNICOM. I CONTACTED ANOTHER ARPT IN THE AREA; BUT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THE FUEL TRUCK DRIVER. I THEN LOOKED UP A THIRD ARPT; IT WAS JACKSON. THE CHART FREQS ON MY GPS WERE UNICOM 122.95 AND CTAF 123.6. I TRIED BOTH OF THESE FREQS SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE. I ENTERED L DOWNWIND FOR RWY 2. AFTER THE RADIO CALLS; SCANNING THE RWY AND TFC PATTERN FOR ACFT. THE WINDSOCK WAS SHOWING CALM WINDS. I CALLED L BASE AND TURNED ON A 3 MI FINAL. I NOTICED A C172 ABOUT 400 FT FROM ME. I CONTINUED THE APCH AND LANDED. ON ROLLOUT; I NOTICED THAT THE ARPT DID HAVE A TWR. WHEN I PARKED; I WAS MET BY ARPT SECURITY. TO PREVENT THIS FROM OCCURRING; I WILL NOT ASSUME I'VE PUT MY CHART IN THE ACFT. I WILL PHYSICALLY PICK IT UP AND LOOK AT IT BEFORE ENG START.
