Narrative
WE WERE CLRED TO 'TAXI TO RWY 13.' I WAS THE PF AND; AS IS THE PRACTICE OF CORPORATE FLYING; I WAS TAXIING THE ACFT. WHILE I ONLY HAVE 65 HRS IN TYPE; I HAVE OVER 1100 HRS OF JET TIME AND OVER 5900 TOTAL HRS; SO MY EXPERIENCE LEVEL IS GOOD. WE WERE COMPLETING THE CHKLISTS AS WE WERE TAXIING OUT AND I RECONFIRMED WITH THE CAPT THAT WE WERE CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 13. NOW I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO TERRE HAUTE BEFORE (AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER) AND I WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH THE RWY LAYOUT AND THE FACT THAT THE DEP ENDS OF RWYS 18 AND 13 ARE RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. WE TAXIED TO RWY 13 AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 13 AND CROSSED RWY 18 TO DO IT. THE SIGNAGE WAS NOT VERY CLR AS TO IF WE WERE TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 18 FOR RWY 13 OR NOT. ALSO THE GND CTLR ONLY SAID 'TAXI TO RWY 13.' IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER IF HE SAID 'TAXI TO RWY 13; HOLD SHORT OF RWY 18.' WE READ BACK THE 'TAXI TO RWY 13' CLRNC AS WE SHOULD AND THAT'S THE WAY WE UNDERSTOOD THE CLRNC. THE TWR SAID TO US THAT WE HAD TAXIED ONTO RWY 18; WHICH THE CAPT RESPONDED 'WE WERE CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 13; WHICH IS WHAT WE DID.' THE TWR SAID 'OK; THAT'S NO PROB; CLRED FOR TKOF.'
