Narrative
I FLEW FROM LAUREL; DE; N06 TO 6W TO FLY SKYDIVERS. DURING THE DAY I HAD TO DEAL WITH ZNY CTLRS WHO WERE VERY RUDE. THIS GUY ASKED ME WHERE I WAS; AND I SAID 6W6. HE ASKED IF IT WAS NEAR SOME IFR INTXN. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T KNOW; AS I WAS THE NEW GUY THERE. HE REPLIED; 'WELL; IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU ARE; THEN I CERTAINLY DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU ARE EITHER.' HE CONTINUED TO HARASS OTHER PLTS; AND HE HAD A SARCASTIC COMMENT TO MAKE TO EACH OF THEM. WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED IN HANOVER; I WAS UNABLE TO FIND THE SMALL GRASS STRIP; SO I ASKED FOR A VECTOR. HE SAID I WAS CLOSE; ARPT AT 11 O'CLOCK AND 2 MI; AND I LANDED AT WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE A CLOSED ARPT ON THE E SIDE OF TOWN. I HAD NO DAMAGE TO THE ACFT; EXCEPT FOR SOME GRASS THAT I PLOWED THROUGH; AS IT HADN'T BEEN MOWED IN A LONG TIME. I FEEL THAT THIS NYC CTLR'S BAD ATTITUDE HELPED TO CAUSE THIS ERROR; AND HELPED TO DECREASE THE SAFETY OF ALL OF THE FLTS HE WAS WORKING. IT ALSO CAUSED ME TO DISCONTINUE CALLING HIM; AS I HAD NO VOR ABOARD TO IDENT THE INTXN HE ASKED ME ABOUT. AT ONE POINT; I SAW A B757 ABOUT 1000 FT ABOVE ME; WHICH WAS NEVER CALLED TO ME AS TFC SINCE THE CTLR REFUSED TO WORK WITH ME. HE DID KNOW WHERE I WAS; AS HE SAID 'THE ACFT SQUAWKING XXXX IS IN BWI'S AIRSPACE; AND SHOULD BE TALKING TO THEM.' I KNEW THIS; AS BWI CTLED THE LOWER ALTS; BUT THEY TOLD ME TO CALL ZNY WHEN I GOT ABOVE THEIR AIRSPACE. I WISH I HAD ASKED HIM FOR HIS NAME; AND I WOULD HAVE CALLED THE CTR MGR. I HOPE SOMEONE ELSE DID; AS THIS GUY WAS A DANGEROUS; ARROGANT JERK.
