AN ATX LTT JET CREW RPTS THAT THEY LANDED ON A CLOSED RWY AT COE. THE CAPT HAD CHKED THE NOTAMS AND WX WITH FSS THE NIGHT BEFORE AND BEFORE EACH LEG.

Narrative

I CALLED FSS AND ASKED FOR A BRIEFING FOR A FLT FROM SLC- BOI-LWS-COE. I WAS GIVEN AIRMETS; SIGMETS; ICING; CURRENT WX; FORECASTS; WINDS ALOFT; ETC. I DID NOT SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR THE NOTAMS; BUT I WAS ALSO NOT ADVISED OF ANY. LATE IN THE EVENING PRIOR; I HAD BEEN GIVEN A STANDARD BRIEFING WITH THE NOTAMS. UPON ARR AT BOI; I CALLED FSS AND ASKED FOR THE WX FOR LWS AND COE. I WAS GIVEN THE CURRENT WX AT BOTH ARPTS AND ADVISED THAT RWY 11/29 AT LWS WAS CLOSED; AND RWY 5/23 AT COE WAS OPEN FULL LENGTH (THERE HAD BEEN A RWY THRESHOLD PREVIOUSLY). I WAS NOT ADVISED THAT THE RWY WAS CLOSED. UPON ARR AT LWS; I CALLED FSS AGAIN AND ASKED FOR THE WX IN COE. I ALSO ASKED FOR THE RADAR PICTURE BTWN THE 2 ARPTS; AND IF THERE WERE ANY PLT RPTS; ETC. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT RWY 5/23 WAS CLOSED. IN THE AIR ENRTE TO COE; I LISTENED TO THE AWOS. THERE IS A SHORT GAP BTWN THE WX AND THE COMMENT SECTION. AS THE FLT IS VERY SHORT AND WE WERE BEING CONTACTED BY CTR; AFTER HEARING THE WX; I SWITCHED OFF THE #2 RADIO WITH THE AWOS RPT. THE WX RPTED WAS 1900 FT OVCST; 1 1/4 MI VISIBILITY. WHEN WE WERE HANDED OFF TO APCH CTL; THEY ASKED US WHAT TYPE OF APCH WE WOULD LIKE AND; AS I DID NOT KNOW RWY 5 WAS CLOSED; AND DUE TO THE VISIBILITY; I REQUESTED THE ILS RWY 5. APCH NEVER MENTIONED THE RWY CLOSURE AND EVEN ADVISED US OF AN ACFT BRAKING RPT FROM AN HR PRIOR; WITH BRAKING ACTION FAIR. I WAS HAVING FEEDBACK FROM MY RADIO AND THE WX WAS GETTING BUMPY SO; AT THE POINT WHEN WE WERE TOLD TO CONTACT CTAF; WE SWITCHED CTL OF THE AIRPLANE FROM THE COPLT TO MYSELF. I ASKED THE COPLT TO RPT OUR APCH TO THE ARPT; WHICH HE DID. WHEN WE BROKE OUT; I SAW TRUCKS CLRING THE RWY WHICH I ASSUMED WAS HAPPENING BECAUSE THEY KNEW WE WERE COMING. WHEN THEY WERE CLR; WE LANDED. WE THEN RETURNED TO APCH FREQ BRIEFLY TO CANCEL OUR FLT PLAN AND APCH ASKED US WHAT OUR BRAKING ACTION RPT WAS. I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE RWY WAS CLOSED UNTIL I WAS INSIDE THE FBO AND THE ARPT MGR APCHED ME TO ADVISE ME OF THE FACT. THERE WAS ALSO NO INDICATION THAT THE RWY WAS CLOSED SUCH AS AN X ON THE RWY; ETC.
