AN ACR FLC DISCOVERS THAT ALTHOUGH THE DEICING TEAM ASSURED THEM THAT DEICING WAS COMPLETE A GREAT DEAL OF ICE REMAINED ON THE ACFT. THIS WAS DISCOVERED ON ROTATION AND CONFIRMED ON POST FLT INSPECTION.

Narrative
ON ARR IN PIT; THE OUTBOUND CREW CALLED MY ATTN TO ICE ON THE FUSELAGE OF THE ACFT. THIS ICE HAD TO BE LEFT OVER FROM OUR DEICE PROC AT THE ORIGINATION OF THE FLT SINCE WE ENCOUNTERED NO ICING CONDITIONS IN FLT. ON TKOF WE HAD LARGE CHUNKS OF SNOW AND ICE COME OFF THE RADOME/WINDSHIELD WIPERS. WE HAD DIFFICULTY GETTING THE DEICE CREW TO FOLLOW APPROPRIATE RADIO NOTIFICATION PROCS AS PER COMPANY STANDARD OPERATING POLICY. WE COUNT ON THE DEICE CREWS TO BE HONEST AND GIVE GOOD INSPECTION RPTS -- NOT FILL THE SQUARE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR IS A SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE FOR HIS PLT GROUP AND IS AWARE OF THE PROPER TECHNIQUES AND PROCS FOR DEICING HIS B737-300. HOWEVER; THIS TIME THE DEICE CREW HAD SAID THE RIGHT THINGS; BUT NOT DONE THE JOB. THE ON-COMING FLC AT THE NEXT STATION POINTED OUT THE LARGE AMOUNT OF ICE STILL ON THE AIRFRAME WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT THE GATE. DURING TKOF; THE RPTR SAID THAT HE REALIZED THAT ALL WAS NOT AS ADVERTISED WHEN ICE AND SNOW BLEW PAST THE COCKPIT WINDOWS ON ROTATION. SINCE THIS; THE RPTR SAID THAT HE HAS SPOKEN WITH THE GND SVC QUALITY ASSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE AND HE HAS BEEN TOLD THAT THE DEICING TEAM HAS BEEN RETRAINED AT THIS STATION.
