Synopsis

A C560 CREW LINED UP ON THE R SIDELINE OF THE RWY VICE THE CTRLINE.

Narrative

AS THE CAPT BROUGHT PWR UP; I MONITORED THE ENG INSTS. THE CAPT RELEASED THE BRAKES AT ABOUT 70-75 PERCENT N1 AND THEN CALLED 'SET PWR;' BUT BEFORE I DID; I GLANCED OUT THE WINDSHIELD. AS I DID; A LIGHT CAUGHT MY ATTN. THIS LIGHT LOOKED OUT OF PLACE; SO I CONTINUED TO WATCH IT. WITHIN ABOUT 1 OR 2 SECONDS I REALIZED THAT WE WERE NOT ON THE CTRLINE OF THE RWY. RATHER; WE HAD LINED UP ASTRADDLE OF THE R EDGE LINE. I CALLED 'THAT'S THE EDGE OF THE RWY' 3 OR 4 TIMES IN RAPID SUCCESSION TO THE CAPT WHEN WE RAN THE R MAIN AND NOSE GEAR OFF THE R SIDE OF THE RWY. THE CAPT REDUCED PWR TO IDLE AND DEPLOYED THE REVERSERS ALONG WITH APPLYING BRAKES. BUT; BEFORE WE RE- ENTERED THE RWY; WE HAD STRUCK 4 RWY EDGE LIGHTS AND HAD BENT THE R MAIN GEAR DOOR. PLUS; WE HAD BROKEN A COM ANTENNA OFF. OUR COMPANY TOOK PICTURES OF THE AREA WHERE WE HAD RUN OFF THE RWY. WE FOUND THAT THE TAXI LINE FROM TXWY A JOINED WITH THE R SIDE EDGE LINE OF RWY 34 AND DID NOT CONTINUE TO THE CTRLINE OF THE RWY. I FEEL THAT BTWN THAT AND THE DARKNESS; RAIN; AND THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO RWY EDGE LIGHTS FOR THE FIRST 400-600 FT ON R SIDE OF RWY 34; ALL CONTRIBUTED TO THIS MISINTERP OF OUR POS ON THE RWY.
