AN ACR DC9 CHOSE TO RETURN LAND WITH A HOST OF PROBS. THEY HAD A TRACK HDG DEV ON THE RETURN.
Narrative
WE STARTED TO EXPERIENCE PROBS AT ROTATION ON OUR TKOF ROLL. THE COCKPIT DOOR CAME OPEN; AND WOULD NOT STAY SHUT. I SECURED THE COCKPIT DOOR WITH THE SEAT BELT FROM THE JUMP SEAT. OUR EPR GAUGE ON THE #1 ENG BECAME ERRATIC. THE NEXT PROB WAS OUR AUTOPLT WOULD NOT CONNECT. NOW WE HAVE PROBS; BECAUSE INSTEAD OF HAVING 2 PLTS PERFORMING BOTH PNF AND PF DUTIES; WE WILL HAVE 1 PLT DOING BOTH AND THE OTHER PLT DEALING WITH THE OTHER PROBS. THEN WE GOT A COCKPIT WARNING LIGHT TO INDICATE AN UNSAFE DOOR ON THE FORWARD AIRSTAIRS. THE CAPT GAVE ME THE ACFT SO HE COULD CONTACT DISPATCH ABOUT OUR PROBS. WE WERE NEAR APE. I TUNED IN APE BUT DIDN'T MAKE THE TURN FOR SOME REASON -- I MUST HAVE BEEN DISTR. ALSO; WHEN WE WERE GIVEN A RADIAL TO INTERCEPT OFF OF THE DXO VOR ON OUR RETURN; I MISTAKENLY TUNED THE WRONG RADIAL. OUR WORKLOAD WAS EXTREMELY BUSY. THE ACFT WE WERE FLYING HAD NEW RADIOS THAT ARE QUITE DIFFERENT IN THE WAY THEY ARE USED; REQUIRING MORE ATTN. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 359501: DURING A RERTE TO DTW AND ARR PREPARATION; FO FLEW PAST THE APE VOR AND OVERSHOT THE ARR RADIAL BEFORE RECEIVING VECTORS BACK ON COURSE.
