AN ACR DC9 FLC TAXIING AT HIGH SPD ON AN UNFAMILIAR ARPT WITH CONFUSING TXWY MARKINGS HAS A RWY INCURSION.

Narrative

TAXIING FROM RAMP TO RWY 33L AT LOGAN. I WAS FO AND WAS FOLLOWING TAXI RTE ON ARPT DIAGRAM AS WAS THE CAPT. WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS THE RWY 22'S (RWYS 22L AND 22R) AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 27 ON TXWY C. AS WE PROGRESSED WE WERE THEN CLRED TO CROSS RWY 27 AND TAXI TO RWY 33L. THE WX WAS CLR AND THE RADIO TFC QUIET. I REPEATED TO THE CAPT CLRED TO CROSS RWY 27. I LOOKED DOWN TO VERIFY THE DEP FREQ; WHICH WAS NOT GIVEN IN THE CLRNC. I LOOKED UP AS WE TURNED OFF TXWY 'C' AND ONTO TXWY 'D'; WHICH DIVERGE AT A 45 DEG ANGLE. I HAD ENOUGH TIME TO STATE 'GO THAT WAY' WHEN WE VEERED L ON TXWY 'D' AND CROSSED RWY 33L; NOT RWY 27. THE CAPT STILL DID NOT REALIZE HIS MISTAKE UNTIL I CALLED GND TO VERIFY WE MADE A WRONG TURN. THE CTLR ACKNOWLEDGED OUR ERROR AND TAXIED US BACK TO RWY 33L. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: UNFAMILIARITY WITH THE ARPT; DEP FREQ NOT GIVEN IN CLRNC; TXWY SIGNS AT INTXN OF TXWYS DIVERGING AT 45 DEG ANGLE; COMPLACENCY ON QUIET/CLR DAY; FAST TAXI SPD (THE CAPT THOUGHT HE KNEW WHERE HE WAS GOING; I COULD NOT HAVE STOPPED THE ACFT IF I HAD REACTED BY APPLYING BRAKES). CORRECTIVE ACTION: BETTER TXWY MARKINGS; DEP CTL FREQ WITH CLRNC; MORE CAUTIOUS TAXI SPDS.
