AFTER LNDG AT LAS ON RWY 25L; WE WERE TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 25R WHICH WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND DID. TWR CLRED AN ACR ACFT TO DEPART; AND IT DID. WE WERE THEN CLRED TO CROSS RWY 25R AND CONTACT GND ON 121.1 WHEN CLR. TWR THEN CLRED AN ACR Y INTO POS AND HOLD. WHEN WE WERE JUST PAST THE CTRLINE OF RWY 25R WE HEARD THE TWR INSTRUCT AN ACR Y TO ABORT THE TKOF. AS WE TURNED ONTO THE TXWY WE COULD SEE THE ABORTED TKOF ACFT CLRING THE RWY ABOUT 1/4 MI E OF US. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 364773: AS WE TAXIED ACROSS RWY; WE HEARD A BROKEN XMISSION TO AN ACR Y TO CANCEL TKOF CLRNC. AS WE MADE OUR R-HAND TURN ONTO THE TXWY; WE SAW THE JET ABORTING A TKOF ON RWY 25R. GND CTL 121.1 WAS WEAK AND NOISY WHERE WE WERE; BUT WE HEARD ACR Y ASK FOR A PLACE TO PARK TO PERFORM BRAKE COOLING CALCULATIONS. ASSUMING A NEAR MISHAP HAD OCCURRED; WE ASKED GND CTL WHAT HAPPENED AND HE TOLD US TO CALL THE TWR WHEN WE GOT IN TO OPS. ON PHONE; TWR CHIEF EXPLAINED THEY PROBABLY CAUSED CONFLICT BY MISTAKENLY CLRING ACR Y TO TKOF AFTER TWR HAD CLRED US TO CROSS RWY 25R. HE SAID WE WERE CALLED AND TOLD TO HOLD SHORT; BUT WE NEVER HEARD SUCH XMISSIONS; AND REMAINED ON TWR FREQ UNTIL WELL CLR OF RWY 25R. IN FACT; THAT WAS THE FREQ WE HEARD HIM CANCEL ACR Y'S TKOF CLRNC. AGAIN; RECEPTION VERY POOR IN THAT AREA.
