Narrative
I HAD DEPARTED YIP FOR MGJ WHEN AFTER DEP I HEARD WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A CTLR TELLING ME TO CLB TO 3000 FT ON COURSE. WHEN I SWITCHED OVER TO DETROIT ATC THEY INFORMED ME THAT I WAS IN THE CLASS B AIRSPACE AND THEY GAVE ME A S HDG AND TO BE LEVEL AT 3500 FT. THE CTLR ACTED VERY ARROGANT. I TRIED TO HOLD MY TEMPER; BUT HE GOT THE BEST OF ME. I JUST WANTED TO GET ON MY WAY. I REQUESTED 7500 FT AND HE (OR SOMEONE) GAVE ME A CLB TO 7500 FT. AFTER A WHILE; THE CTLR TOLD ME TO CLB TO 10500 FT; WHICH I DID; BUT QUESTIONED HIS ACTION SINCE EBOUND TFC IS ODD THOUSAND PLUS 500 FT. WITH MY INQUIRY; HE BECAME AGAIN ANGRY. I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO HAVE A COW! I TALKED TO THE DETROIT ATC CTLR AND HE SAID THAT THE REASON EVERYONE WAS SO UPTIGHT WAS BECAUSE GOV OFFICIAL WAS IN TOWN. RECOMMENDATION: THERE SHOULD BE BETTER COMS BTWN ATC AND DEP ARPT. NEED SOME WAY TO FIND BOGUS CTLR (ANYONE CAN XMIT TO AN ACFT WITH A HAND-HELD RADIO; WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME). THIS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE ON APCH TO BOS. A BOGUS ATC CTLR TOLD ME TO MISS THE APCH; WHICH I DID; AND HAD TO ASK THE REAL CTLR FOR APCH AGAIN.
