C210 ACFT ON APCH AND INSTRUCTED TO FOLLOW ACFT WHICH RPTR COULDN'T SEE. WHEN SEEING THE OTHER ACFT RPTR TOLD TWR HE WOULD MAKE A 360 DEG TURN FOR SPACING AND TWR PUT ANOTHER ACFT IN FRONT OF HIM; FINALLY CLRING RPTR TO LAND ON ANOTHER RWY.

Narrative

UPON CHKING IN WITH ORLANDO EXECUTIVE TWR AT 15 DME ON THE RWY 7 LOC; WAS ADVISED BY TWR TO CONTINUE AND RPT 4 DME. AT APPROX 8 DME; WAS ADVISED BY TWR THAT A KING AIR WAS PASSING ME OFF MY R WING. I WAS AT 1400 FT AND APPROX 500 FT BELOW A SCATTERED CLOUD LAYER AND RPTED NOT SEEING THE TFC (LOOKING). AT APPROX 5 DME WAS CLRED TO LAND #2 BEHIND THE KING AIR. I REPLIED 'CLRED TO LAND #2.' I THEN ADVISED TWR THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE KING AIR IN SIGHT. AT THAT TIME THE TWR SAID THE KING AIR WAS AT MY ALT AND POS AND I SPOTTED THE KING AIR APPROX 200 FT OFF MY 'L' WING AND MY ALT. AT THAT TIME I ADVISED TWR THAT I WAS EXECUTING A 360 DEG TURN WITH PERMISSION TO REJOIN THE LOC FINAL FOR RWY 7. TWR WAS CONFUSED; THEY THOUGHT I HAD RPTED THE TFC; WHEN I HAD NOT. TWR THEN CLRED ME TO LAND #2 AGAIN BEHIND A PIPER SENECA WHICH WAS NOW ON A L BASE FOR RWY 7. AS I WAS SLOWING THE SPACING APPARENTLY WAS NOT GOING TO WORK OUT AND THE TWR ADVISED ME TO TURN L FOR A R BASE TO RWY 13 AND CLRED ME TO LAND. THIS WAS AT APPROX 1 MI (DME).
