Narrative
NAVY PENSACOLA AND PENSACOLA REGIONAL ARPT ARE LOCATED WITHIN 10 MI OF EACH OTHER. NAVY PENSACOLA'S (NPA) ARRS ON RWY 25 CONFLICT WITH PENSACOLA REGIONAL'S DEP OFF OF RWY 17. RWY 17/35 IS THE LONGEST RWY AT REGIONAL AND THE ACRS PREFER THE LONG RWY WITH THE HIGH TEMPS AND HUMIDITY IN THIS AREA. NAVY HAS ADEQUATE RWYS TO USE OTHER THAN RWY 25. THE FAA CTLRS AND SUPVRS HAVE REQUESTED NUMEROUS TIMES THE NAVY TO AVOID USING THIS RWY WHEN WIND PERMITS. WE HAVE EXPLAINED THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE PATHS XING AND THE POTENTIAL HAZARDS THIS PRESENTS. THE MIL HAVE SHOWN ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THIS UNSAFE SIT. AGAIN TODAY THEY ARE USING THIS RWY AND ON THEIR WX RPT THE WIND IS 070 DEGS AT 5 KTS AND WE CALLED AND REQUESTED A WIND CHK. THEY RPTED THE WIND AS 190 DEGS AT 7 KTS. INSTEAD OF BEING ON THE RWY MOST NEARLY ALIGNED WITH THE WIND; THEY ARE CHOOSING TO CAUSE POTENTIAL HAZARDS AND POSSIBLE SAFETY PROBS. SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC IS A MAJOR CONCERN TO THE FAA; WE WOULD APPRECIATE THE MIL CONSIDERING THEIR SAFETY (THE PUBLIC) ALSO.
