Narrative
HIGH WORKLOAD; CAPT (MYSELF) WAS PNF. I WAS KEEPING AN EYE ON COPLT (PF) TRYING TO DO 2 JOBS. VERY BUSY RADIO; GETTING VECTORS TO FINAL CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH. I NEVER CALLED TWR. CONTACTED GND AT CLRING RWY. I CALLED TWR AND APOLOGIZED FOR LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC. WHAT ADDED TO THE PROB WAS THAT I DID NOT FOLLOW OUR SOP AND CONFIRM. I SIMPLY BY ROTE SAID; '3 GREEN LNDG CHKLIST COMPLETE; AND CLRED TO LAND.' PROB IS WE DID HAVE 3 GREEN AND THE CHKLIST WAS COMPLETE; HOWEVER; WE WERE NOT CLRED TO LAND! NEXT TIME NEW SOP -- BOTH CREW MEMBERS SAY CLRED TO LAND. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 375080: WE WERE SUDDENLY '#1 FOR THE ARPT' WHICH TOOK ME BY SURPRISE AS WE WERE STILL DOWNWIND AND DSNDING FROM AROUND 5000 FT. I (COPLT) WAS FLYING THIS LEG. WE WERE NOW BEHIND THE AIRPLANE AND HAD TO WORK QUICKLY TO GET INTO LNDG CONFIGN AND COMPLETE CHKLISTS. EITHER APCH CTL DIDN'T SWITCH US OVER TO TWR; OR WE DIDN'T HEAR THAT INSTRUCTION. IN ANY EVENT; WE LANDED THE AIRPLANE HAVING NEVER CONTACTED THE TWR. IN THE FUTURE; I'M SURE THAT AS A CREW; BOTH OF US WILL READ THE CHKLIST MORE CAREFULLY AND BE CERTAIN THAT EACH ITEM IS ACTUALLY COMPLETED.
