A C177RG LANDED WITH THE LNDG GEAR RETRACTED INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE ACFT.

Narrative

AT APPROX XX00 AM LCL TIME; I DEPARTED SC60 TO DO SOME PLT PROFICIENCY IN A 1978 CESSNA CARDINAL RG. AFTER TKOF; I TRIED TO CONTACT FLO APCH ON MY #1 COM. WHEN I DID NOT GET A REPLY; I SWITCHED HEADSETS AND MIKES. I TRIED AGAIN WITHOUT SUCCESS AND THEN SWITCHED TO MY #2 COM AND HEARD FLO APCH ANNOUNCE THAT AN ACFT CALLING HAD CARRIER ONLY. WHEN I CALLED FLO APCH ON MY #2 COM; I RECEIVED A REPLY. FLO APCH ASKED MY INTENTIONS; AND I REPLIED THAT I WAS GOING TO DO SOME TKOF AND LNDGS LOCALLY. FLO APCH ASKED IF I WANTED RADAR FOLLOWING; AND I DECLINED STATING THAT I WAS GOING TO REMAIN LCL. SUBSEQUENTLY; I MADE A TOUCH AND GO LNDG AT 51J WHICH HAD A 3400 FT PAVED RWY AND RETURNED TO SC60 WHICH HAS A 2700 FT GRASS RWY. AFTER COMPLETING 3 TKOFS AND LNDGS USING THE SHORT; SOFT FIELD TECHNIQUES AT SC60; I DECIDED TO DO SOME SLOW 360 DEG TURNS. AFTER MAKING 2 SUCH TURNS; I NOTICED THAT MY 1 HR OF INTENDED PROFICIENCY FLYING WAS ABOUT UP AND PROCEEDED BACK INTO THE PATTERN FOR A LNDG ON RWY 23. EVERYTHING APPEARED NORMAL ON THE FINAL APCH AS I WAS CONCENTRATING ON A FULL FLAP; FULL STOP LNDG WITH A SMOOTH; SOFT TOUCHDOWN. AT THE MOMENT OF TOUCHDOWN; I WAS SURPRISED AT THE SLIGHT BUMP AND THEN A DRAGGING SOUND AS I SLID TO A STOP ON THE RWY. I SAW THE BENT; STOPPED PROP AND REALIZED THAT I HAD LANDED GEAR UP.
