RADAR CTLR RPT REGARDING THE SKYDIVE ACTIVITY ON AN ARR RTE IN DFW AREA.

Narrative

PARACHUTE JUMPING IN THE ARR PATH OF THE BOWIE STAR HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROB. SOME OF THE ACFT FROM THAT LOCATION AND OTHERS FROM ENNIS (F41) ARE NOW OPERATING ON WKENDS FROM ERANBURY (F55). ERANBURY IS 2 MI N OF THE FUZZZZR WHICH DEFINES THE SLUGGZ STAR TO DFW METROPLEX 'W SATELLITE' ARPTS. WHILE TFC DEMAND ON THIS RTE IS NOT PARTICULARLY HVY; THIS SIT IS A POTENTIAL PROB AND HAS ALREADY CAUSED SOME PLT/CTLR TENSION. AS THE JUMPING IS FROM 11500 FT; AND JETS INBOUND TO DFW ARE VECTORED THROUGH THE AREA DSNDING TO 11000 FT; THIS IS A PROB. ALSO; MOST SLUGG TFC IS PROP OR TURBOPROPS AT EITHER 6000 FT OR 7000 FT. THIS IS NOT A SAFE SIT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT THE METROPLEX AIRSPACE IN THE DFW AREA WAS CHANGED ABOUT 1 YR AGO AND THE ARRS WERE POSITIONED OVER PARACHUTE JUMPING AREAS. THIS HAS CREATED THE PROB. 2 JUMP GROUPS HAVE MOVED TO ANOTHER ARPT AND NOW THEY ARE ON ONE OF THE ARR RTES. A DOGLEG HAS BEEN CREATED ON ONE OF THE ARRS BUT THERE IS STILL JUMP ACTIVITY ON SOME OTHER ARR RTES. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND SOMEONE WILL BE HURT! THE ARRS ARE ABOUT 7 MI APART BUT THERE IS SO MUCH TFC IN THE AREA AND IT IS MIXED: REGIONAL JETS; NAVY FIGHTERS; COMMERCIAL JETS AND THE JUMP ACFT; PLUS OTHER VFR TFC.
