CPR PLT RPT REGARDING TAXI PROB ON DEP FROM ASG ARPT. TAXI TOWARD WRONG RWY. FSDO INSPECTORS QUESTIONED HIM THE NEXT DAY.

Narrative

I HAD DROPPED OFF 2 PAX AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE ENGS. THEY WERE HOT AND NORMAL 'HOT START' PROCS DID NOT WORK. I USED PWR LEVER FORWARD; MIXTURE IDLE CUT OFF AND ENG STARTED IN HIGH RPM. THEN GOT MY IFR CLRNC FROM GND; CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 18. I WAS PARKED ON RAMP FACING S AND HAD TO TAXI S AROUND A LINE OF PARKED ACFT. WHEN I GOT TO THE END OF THE LINE I CONTINUED S TOWARD RWY 36. GND ADVISED TO TAXI TO RWY 18; MAKE 180 DEGS. I DID THIS AND GND ADVISED A CESSNA TO GIVE WAY TO BARON TAXIING N AND TAXI TO RWY 18. I SLOWED DOWN AND WHEN I SAW THAT THE CESSNA WAS STOPPING I CONTINUED FOR RWY 18. I THEN BECAME AWARE THAT PERHAPS I WAS TAXIING TOO FAST FOR THE HUMP IN THE TXWY BUT NOT EXCESSIVE FOR NORMAL SURFACE. AS I WAS BEING CLRED INTO POS THE TWR CTLR ASKED NAME OF PLT AND WHERE ACFT WAS BASED. I STATED MY LAST NAME AND HOME BASE. THE OPERATOR REPEATED THE INFO INCORRECTLY AND I DID NOT RESPOND. THE NEXT DAY; I WAS VISITED BY 2 FSDO INSPECTORS AND ASKED ABOUT THOSE ACTIONS. THEY SEEMED TO ACCEPT THE EXPLANATION BUT WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE OWNERSHIP OF THE ACFT AND IF IT WAS; MAYBE A BOOTLEG CHARTER OR PURE PART 91. BEFORE THE DAY WAS OVER I THINK WE HAD THE OWNER REGISTRATION DILEMMA RESOLVED. ONE OF THE INSPECTORS MADE THE STATEMENT 'THAT YOU HAD UPSET A LOT OF PEOPLE THERE (SPRINGDALE; AR).' WHO THE PEOPLE WERE OR/AND WHY UPSET I DO NOT KNOW. THE FLT WAS PURE PART 91 AND I WAS PIC ON PLT SVC BASIS FOR THE COMPANY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT THE FSDO INSPECTORS WHO WERE IN THE TWR ON THAT DAY HAD NOTED A NAME CHANGE AND THOUGHT THE FLTS IN AND OUT OF SPRINGDALE MIGHT BE CHARTER FLTS RATHER THAN CPR ACTIVITY UNDER PART 91. THE OWNERSHIP HAD REMAINED THE SAME BUT THE CPR NAME WAS CHANGED. RPTR HAS HEARD NOTHING FURTHER FROM THE FAA.
