PROVIDENCE TWR; LOCATED IN WARWICK; RI; IS A COMBINED FACILITY; WHERE CTLRS WORK BOTH THE APCH CTL (RADAR) AND THE CTL TWR POS. I WAS ASSIGNED TO THE TWR; AND WAS WORKING LCL AND GND CTL. THE WX WAS VFR WITH GOOD VISIBILITY BENEATH A HIGH OVCST. THE RWYS WERE CLEAN AND DRY. TFC WAS MODERATE. PROVIDENCE IS A LEVEL 4 FACILITY; AND HAS A MIX OF ACR; AIR TAXI; AND GA ACFT. THERE ARE 2 RWYS; 5/23 AND 16/34. THE WIND WAS 280 DEGS 10 KTS; WHICH ACCOMMODATES LNDGS ON BOTH RWYS 34 AND 23. FLT SCHOOL TFC WAS DOING TOUCH AND GOES ON RWY 23 IN A C152; WHEN AN ARRIVING AIR TAXI APCH FROM THE SE. I DECIDED TO USE LNDG AND HOLD SHORT OPS; AND HAVE THE ARR FROM THE SE LAND ON RWY 34 AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 23. THE RWY 34 ARR WAS ISSUED HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS; AND TFC INFO; AND TFC WAS EXCHANGED TO THE TOUCH AND GO CESSNA. I QUICKLY CHKED THE FACILITY ORDER FOR LAHSO (HOLD SHORT OPS) TO ENSURE THAT A C206 WAS LISTED AS AN APPROVED ACFT FOR THIS HOLD SHORT OP. SURE ENOUGH; C206 NEEDS 2600 FT OF RWY LNDG DISTANCE AND RWY 34 HAS 2800 FT AVAILABLE PRIOR TO THE XING RWY 23. THE ACFT LANDED; HELD SHORT FOR THE TOUCH AND GO; AND TAXIED TO PARKING WITHOUT INCIDENT. ABOUT 15 MINS LATER; THIS SCENARIO REPEATED ITSELF WHEN A VFR CHEROKEE INBOUND FROM THE N LANDED ON RWY 23; AND ANOTHER AIR TAXI FROM THE SE (SAME COMPANY AND ACFT TYPE) LANDED ON RWY 34 TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 23. AFTER THE AIR TAXI LANDED AND WAS HOLDING; I REALIZED THAT HIS TYPE ACFT WAS A C208; NOT A C206. RECKING THE FACILITY LAHSO ORDER I REALIZED THAT A C208 NEEDS 3000 FT OF LNDG RWY AND WAS NOT LISTED AS APPROVED ON OUR ORDER. FORTUNATELY; THE C208 WAS STOPPED ON THE RWY HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 23; PRIOR TO THE CHEROKEE XING THE THRESHOLD OF RWY 23; THEREFORE; NO OPERROR. I THEN ASKED THE PLT IF SOME OF HIS COMPANY ACFT WERE C206'S; BUT HE TOLD ME THEY WERE ALL C208'S. IN THE FUTURE I WILL BE DOUBLY SURE TO CHK ACFT TYPES MORE CAREFULLY BEFORE APPROVING ANY HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS.
