AN ATX FLC RPTS THAT THEY HAD A STEERING FAILURE DURING THE ROLLOUT IN AN HS25. NO INJURIES.
Narrative
THE ACFT DEPARTED TEB FOR APA; NO WX FACTORS AT DEP ARPT. THIN CLOUD LAYERS EXISTED DURING CLBOUT. THE FLT PROCEEDED NORMALLY UNTIL TOUCHDOWN ON RWY 17L AT APA. THE APCH AND LNDG WERE NORMAL UNTIL MOMENTARILY AFTER THE NOSE GEAR MADE CONTACT. AT THAT TIME THE ACFT BEGAN PULLING TO THE R. NORMAL AILERON AND RUDDER CTL INPUTS HAD NO EFFECT AND THE ACFT CONTINUED TO MOVE TOWARDS THE EDGE OF THE RWY. BOTH PLTS ATTEMPTED TO USE L BRAKE TO ARREST THE TURN TO NO EFFECT. PRIOR TO LEAVING THE RWY AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO UTILIZE THE NOSEWHEEL STEERING TILLER BUT IT WAS JAMMED AND WOULD NOT TWIST TO THE L. AFTER THE ACFT DEPARTED THE RWY THROUGH SOME HARD PACKED SNOW AND ONTO THE ROUGH GND THE TILLER BECAME FREE. DUE TO THE EFFORTS OF BOTH PLTS UTILIZING THE BRAKES; STEERING; AND ENG SHUTDOWN; THE ACFT WAS BROUGHT TO A SAFE STOP INTACT ON THE ARPT INFIELD WITH NO INJURIES TO PAX OR CREW. CENTENNIAL TWR WAS ADVISED OF OUR POS AND CONDITION; AND ASSISTANCE WAS REQUESTED. THE ACFT SHUTDOWN CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED AND PAX AND CREW EVACED THE ACFT. ONLY LIGHT WINDS EXISTED AT APA; WITH NO WX FACTORS. MAINT IS STILL EXAMINING THE ACFT FOR DAMAGE AND POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE STEERING SYS FAILURE.
