FLT ATTENDANT RPT ON AN EXPEDITED OR EMER DSCNT WHEN THEIR S80 LOSES CABIN PRESSURE. THE OXYGEN MASKS DID DEPLOY AS THE CAPT PREDICTED OVER THE PA.
Narrative
I WAS SEATED IN THE AFT PART OF THE ACFT AND I NOTICED SOME UNUSUAL CHANGES IN CABIN TEMP AND AIRFLOW. ABOUT THIS TIME ANOTHER FLT ATTENDANT CAME TO THE BACK AND SAID SHE HAD BEEN IN THE COCKPIT AND THE PLTS SEEMED TO BE DEALING WITH SOME PROB AND HAD ASKED HER TO LEAVE. AT THIS POINT I COULD TELL WE WERE DSNDING. ABOUT THIS TIME THE CAPT MADE A PA STATING WE WERE HAVING A PRESSURIZATION PROB AND WE MIGHT HAVE TO USE THE OXYGEN MASKS. HE ALSO ASKED PAX TO MAKE SURE THEIR SEATBELTS WERE FASTENED. I MADE MY WAY TO THE FRONT CHKING SEATBELT COMPLIANCE. AT THIS POINT WE SEEMED TO BE DSNDING RAPIDLY. I GOT TO THE FRONT AND SPOKE BRIEFLY TO ANOTHER FLT ATTENDANT. AT THAT TIME THE OXYGEN MASKS DEPLOYED THROUGHOUT THE ACFT. I MOVED MYSELF SEVERAL ROWS INTO THE MAIN CABIN AND DONNED A MASK. ALL PAX SEEMED TO GET THEIR MASKS ON WITH NO PROBS. THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT MADE THE REQUIRED PA AS PER OUR PROCS. I SLOWLY WORKED MY WAY TO THE BACK CHKING ON PAX. THE THIRD FLT ATTENDANT WAS TRYING TO CONTACT THE PLTS REGARDING THE NOISE/AIRFLOW COMING FROM THE AFT GALLEY DOOR. IT TOOK SOME TIME TO CONTACT THEM. OUR FLT ATTENDANT PROCS SEEMED TO WORK WELL.
