Narrative
DEPARTING BOS ON FLT XXX; APR/YY/98; FROM RWY 27. WE WERE A FEW MINS LATE DUE TO A MEDICAL EMER ON OUR INBOUND FLT. WE ACCOMPLISHED THE CHKLIST AND REQUESTED OUR PDC. BOTH THE FO AND I REVIEWED THE PDC. I THOUGHT IT A BIT UNUSUAL THAT WE DID NOT RECEIVE A PUBLISHED DEP; SO I CHKED THE PDC AGAIN. THE BODY OF THE PDC SAID; 'CLRED AS FILED.' 'BOS GLYDE BAF J77 SAX J80 AIR CINCE2 CVG.' IT WAS THE FO'S LEG. WE DEPARTED RWY 27 AND FLEW RWY HEADING. SHORTLY AFTER TKOF; DEP CTL ASKED US WHAT HEADING WE WERE FLYING. WE TOLD HIM WE WERE ON RWY HDG 272 DEGS. HE THEN ASKED IF WE HAD BEEN GIVEN THE WYLYY DEP AND WE SAID THAT WE HAD NOT. HE THEN TOLD US TO MAINTAIN OUR HEADING. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW OF OUR PDC I DISCOVERED THE WYLYY ONE DEP DOWN AMONG THE FOOTNOTES. WE BOTH HAD MISSED IT. THE FLT CONTINUED TO CVG UNEVENTFUL. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: CAPT SAID HE LOOKED AT THE PDC TWICE. FO ALSO LOOKED AT THE PDC CAREFULLY. BOTH MISSED A CHANGE IN THE SID BECAUSE IT WAS NOT WHERE IT WAS EXPECTED TO BE ON THE PDC. CAPT STATES HIS COMPANY HAS NO STANDARDIZATION OF PDC FORMAT AND EACH STATION IS DIFFERENT. COMPANY PROVIDES THE CREW NO INFO ON WHERE OR HOW PDC'S ARE ISSUED.
