Narrative
TRIP DATE; MAY/XX/98. DEP POINT HARRISON; AR. AFTER DEP AND DURING GEAR RETRACTION; CREW HEARD AN UNUSUAL LOUD THUMP. ALL COCKPIT INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. CREW DECIDED TO CONTINUE TRIP; BUT MONITOR SEVERAL ACFT SYS. DURING LNDG PHASE; AT ARR POINT AT OLATHE; KS (NEW CENTURY AIR CENTER); APPROX 7-8 MI FROM ARR ARPT; TWR WAS CALLED. WE WERE TOLD TO RPT 2 MI FINAL FOR RWY 35. WE WERE ALSO ADVISED THAT THERE WAS A CITATION JET DEPARTING RWY 17 AND TO ADVISE TWR WHEN WE HAD ACFT IN SIGHT. WITH THE AID OF ONBOARD TCASII; CITATION WAS LOCATED AND RPTED TO TWR. THE CREW'S ATTN WAS THEN TO ADDRESS LNDG SYS FUNCTION AND RECONFIGURE ACFT FOR LNDG (WAS HIGH AND FAST DUE TO TFC). WE LANDED THE ACFT WITHOUT THE 2 MI RPTED POINT TO TWR. TWR ADVISED US ON LNDG ROLLOUT THAT WE DID NOT RPT AS REQUIRED AT 2 MI. I WAS SO INVOLVED WITH LNDG CHKS AND SYS CHKS THAT I FORGOT TO MAKE CALL. BETTER ASSESSMENT OF CREW RESPONSIBILITIES AND OUTLINE OF DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS -- BETTER ORGANIZATION COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS PROB.
