Narrative
I WAS FLYING FROM LONG BEACH TO BROWN FIELD VIA THE SAN DIEGO CLASS B VFR CORRIDOR. I WAS ON SOCAL APCH WITH FLT FOLLOWING FROM DEP AT LONG BEACH UP UNTIL JUST ENTERING THE SAN DIEGO SPECIAL FLT RULES AREA. THE SOCAL APCH CTLR TOLD ME THAT RADAR SVC WAS TERMINATED; TO SQUAWK VFR AND HE GAVE ME THE PLT'S INFO EXCHANGE FREQ OF 126.05. I DID AS INSTRUCTED AND ENTERED THE SAN DIEGO CORRIDOR AT 3500 FT; STATING MY POS THROUGHOUT THE CORRIDOR. I HAD MY SAN DIEGO TERMINAL CHART WITH ME THAT I STUDIED BEFORE THE FLT. I TRIED TO BE SURE TO MAINTAIN A POS E OF THE SAN DIEGO LINDBERGH FIELD ALONG THE VFR CORRIDOR WHILE CONSTANTLY LOOKING FOR TFC. I SAW NO TFC IN THE VICINITY AND CONTINUED ON. EVERYTHING LOOKED CLR. AFTER LNDG AT BROWN FIELD; SAN DIEGO; THE TWR ADVISED ME TO CONTACT A SUPVR AT TRACON IN REGARDS TO A PLTDEV. I CALLED THE SUPVR TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED AND HE TOLD ME THAT I HAPPENED TO BE IN CLASS B AIRSPACE AND A PLANE WAS ON THE FINAL LEG FOR RWY 27 AND THAT THE OTHER PLANE WAS AT A VERT DISTANCE OF 200 FT FROM ME. HE COULDN'T DETERMINE TO ME WHETHER THE OTHER PLANE WAS ABOVE OR BELOW ME. I SAW NO TFC IN THE VICINITY OF THE ARPT AND I WAS ASSURED THAT I WAS FLYING ALONG THE VFR CORRIDOR. I WAS VERY SURPRISED THAT THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED. I'LL BE EXTRA CAREFUL ANYTIME I FLY THROUGH A CLASS B VFR CORRIDOR IN THE FUTURE.
