PLT INVOLVED IN A COMEDY AIRSHOW PERFORMANCE HAS ACFT BUFFET JUST AFTER TKOF AND DSNDS TO THE RWY SURFACE. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN; THE ACFT BOUNCES AND PROCEEDS TO FLY DOWN THE RWY PRIOR TO LNDG WITH GEAR RETRACTED.

Narrative

ON TKOF IN AIRSHOW COMEDY ROUTINE; PWR WAS PULLED AS PART OF ROUTINE. WHEN PWR WAS ADDED; ACFT BUFFETED. I WAS UNABLE TO ARREST DSCNT PRIOR TO ACFT STRIKING GND WITH GEAR RETRACTED. ACFT BOUNCED AND FLEW DOWN RWY BEFORE LNDG WITH GEAR UP. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT HIS COMEDY PERFORMANCE IS USUALLY MUCH FUNNIER THAN THIS ONE WAS. HIS ACFT IS A SWIFT WITH A LARGE ENG SO HE USUALLY HAS PLENTY OF PWR. AFTER TKOF; HE REDUCES PWR AND FLIES 'CLOSE TO THE EDGE' WITH LOTS OF CONVERSATION FROM THE 'ANNOUNCER' ABOUT HIS POOR FLYING. THE RPTR'S 2 PARTNERS WERE IN THE ANNOUNCE STAND. THEIR EXPLANATION OF WHY THE ACFT WOULD FLY AGAIN AFTER TOUCHDOWN AT SUCH SLOW SPD IS THAT THERE WAS A 12-15 KT XWIND WHICH WAS BLOCKED BY A LARGE HANGAR NEAR THE RWY AT THE LOW ALT AND ALLOWED THE ACFT TO FLY AGAIN AFTER INITIAL TOUCHDOWN. THE FAA REPRESENTATIVES WERE PRESENT AT THE AIRSHOW AND INVESTIGATED RIGHT AWAY. THEY FOUND NO PROB WITH THE WAY THE ACFT WAS FLOWN AND INTEND NO FOLLOW UP. RPTR IS WAITING FOR THE ACFT TO BE REPAIRED SO HE CAN TAKE IT UP TO ALT AND TRY TO DUPLICATE THE SIT.
