A DISPATCHER'S RPT REGARDING A FLT THAT WAS SHORTED FUEL BECAUSE OF AN AMENDED CLRNC RTE CHANGE BY ATC. THE PIC DID NOT PULL UP THE LATEST DISPATCH RELEASE.

Narrative

INBOUND FLT TO DFW HAD A REVISED DEP TIME OF XC15Z BECAUSE OF CREW LEGALITY; SO THE FLT PLAN WOULD BE AVAILABLE AT XB00Z. THE CAPT CALLED FOR EARLY CALCULATION OF THE RELEASE AND IT WAS DISSEMINATED AT XA34Z. HE THEN CALLED FOR ADDITIONAL FUEL AND THE RELEASE WAS REVISED AT XA39Z. THESE CALLS WERE HANDLED BY OTHER DISPATCHERS AS I WAS INVOLVED WITH ANOTHER PROB. LATER; THE CAPT CALLED WITH A RERTE GIVEN BY ATC AND I ADVISED HIM THAT I WOULD UPDATE THE COMPUTER (FLT PLAN) RIGHT AWAY. I UPDATED THE COMPUTER AT XB42Z AND ADVISED LOADS THAT WE WOULD NEED ADDITIONAL FUEL DUE TO A RERTE. I THOUGHT THE CAPT WOULD BE PULLING A NEW COPY OF THE RELEASE SINCE HE HAD ADVISED ME OF THE RTE CHANGE AND WASN'T SCHEDULED TO DEPART FOR ABOUT 30 MINS. I NORMALLY SEND AN ACARS MESSAGE WITH THE ADJUSTED FUEL (OR OTHER CHANGES) IF THERE IS A CHANGE IN THE FLT PLAN CLOSE TO OR AFTER DEP TIME. UPON ARR DFW THE CAPT CALLED TO ADVISE ME THAT HE HAD NOT BEEN AWARE OF THE CHANGE IN FUEL BEFORE RECEIVING THE CLOSEOUT INFO PRIOR TO DEP.
