A B767-300 ABORTED TKOF DUE TO #1 ENG BEING THROTTLE LIMITED CAUSED BY THE INCORRECT DATA ENTRY PLUG INSTALLED ON THE ELECTRONIC ENG CTL.
Narrative
THE PROB OF THROTTLE STAGGER AROSE AFTER AN ENG CHANGE. THE PROB RESULTED IN A LOG WRITE-UP AFTER APPROX 14 HRS OF OP. LOG WRITE-UP READS: L THROTTLE AHEAD. THROTTLES NOT ALIGNED WITHIN 1 INCH AT KNOB; AT SAME EPR; AT ALL PWR SETTINGS. ELECTRONIC ENG CTLS ON. EICAS EPR COMMAND SECTOR NORMAL. ENG PARAMETERS NORMAL. ALL PARAMETERS/INDICATORS NORMAL AND MATCHED. L THROTTLE AHEAD.' I GOT THE CALL FROM ZZZ MECH ASKING IF HE COULD DEFER THIS LOG WRITE-UP AND QUOTED MAINT MANUAL 76-11-00 PAGE 100A. MY RESPONSE WAS NO; I NEED SOME MORE INFO. I QUERIED MECH AS TO WHAT ACTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN. 1) ARE THERE ANY FAULT MESSAGES? NO. 2) CAN YOU TAKE A LOOK AT EICAS AND SEE HOW THE THRUST LEVER ANGLE READS? PREFERABLY AT PART PWR COMPARED TO THE R ENG (A QUICK CHK); I SUSPECT THRUST LEVER ANGLE COULD BE THE PROB. NO; CREW AND PAX ON BOARD AND WE'RE GETTING READY TO PUSH. 3) I'LL CHK THE ENG CTL MAINT COMPUTER DATA. THE ENG CTL MAINT COMPUTER WAS DOWN. ACFT DEPARTED WITH LOG ITEM DEFERRED. THE ACFT FLEW THAT LEG AND ANOTHER LEG WITH NO COMMENTS REGARDING THE THROTTLE STAGGER. ON THE NEXT TKOF; ACFT ABORTED DUE TO BEING THROTTLE LIMITED. THE CAUSE WAS AN INCORRECT DATA ENTRY PLUG INSTALLED. BEFORE FINDING THE WRONG DATA ENTRY PLUG; THE ELECTRONIC ENG CTL WAS REPLACED TO NO AVAIL. THE ENG PERFORMANCE CONFIGN SPECS PAGE THAT SHOWS ENG CONFIGN WAS ACCESSED AND THAT REVEALED THE PROB.
