FLC OF A CITATION VII 650 TAXIES ACROSS A RWY AFTER BEING INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT. CTLR CATCHES THE ERROR WHEN THEY ARE ALMOST ACROSS.

Narrative

AFTER LNDG ROLL ON RWY 30L; PNF (SELF) CONTACTED GND CTL. GND CTL INSTRUCTED US TO TAXI VIA TXWYS B AND G AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30R (DEP END). PNF ROGERED THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS; READ (CHALLENGE AND REPLY) THE AFTER LNDG CHKLIST AND ANNOUNCED TO THE PF 'MY HEAD WILL BE DOWN.' WHILE COMPLETING THE POSTFLT CHKLIST AND NOTING FLT TIMES; I LOOKED UP TO SEE THAT WE WERE XING THE APCH END OF RWY 30R JUST AS THE GND CTLR CALLED OUR MISTAKE AND ASKED US TO PHONE THE TWR. NO ACFT WERE LNDG ON OR DEPARTING RWY 30R. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WITH ANY OTHER TFC. PIC DID NOT HEAR THE INSTRUCTION TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30R; AND ASSUMED HE WAS CLRED ALL THE WAY TO THE RAMP. HE DID CHK FOR TFC BEFORE XING. HIS ANNOUNCEMENT 'CLR L! CLR R?' IS WHAT ALERTED ME TO THE FACT THAT HE WAS NOT GOING TO HOLD SHORT. I FAILED MY RESPONSIBILITY FOR INSURING THAT BOTH PLTS HEARD AND UNDERSTOOD THE CLRNC BEFORE I ROGERED MY UNDERSTANDING. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 420118: I WAS THE PLT; FLYING A CITATION VII (CE650). I DID NOT HEAR THE CTLR INSTRUCT US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30L. I ALSO DID NOT HEAR THE PNF ACKNOWLEDGE THE HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS. I BELIEVE THAT THESE INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN AND ACKNOWLEDGED. I JUST DID NOT HEAR IT THAT WAY. WHEN THE PNF CALLED THE GND CTLR TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED; HE ALSO ASKED THE CTLR IF THERE WAS ANY SAFETY OR SEPARATION CONFLICT. THE CTLR SAID THAT THERE WAS NOT. I FEEL THAT THERE WAS A LAPSE OF COM BTWN CREW MEMBERS. I SHOULD LISTEN MORE CAREFULLY FOR HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS AND CONFIRM WITH THE OTHER PLT THAT WE ARE CLRED ACROSS EACH INTERSECTING RWY DURING TAXI EVERY TIME.
