A BAE3200 ARR AT STL. THE OUTBOUND CREW NOTED SEVERAL MAINT DISCREPANCIES AND QUESTIONED THE INBOUND CREW ABOUT THE DISCREPANCIES AND DETAILS.

Narrative

ON THE MORNING OF DEC/XY/98 AT APPROX XA00 LCL; THE CAPT AND I PERFORMED A THOROUGH PREFLT OF A BAE3200 ACFT REGISTRATION XYZ. WE FOLLOWED OUR APPROPRIATE PREFLT CHKLIST AND VERIFIED THAT EACH ITEM WAS ACCOMPLISHED. THIS PREFLT WAS IN PREPARATION FOR A FLT FROM STL TO SPI AND BACK TO STL. OUR PREFLT REVEALED 5 MAINT DISCREPANCIES. THESE 5 DISCREPANCIES WERE WRITTEN IN THE ACFT MAINT LOG AND BROUGHT TO THE ATTN OF OUR MAINT DEPT. ALL MAINT DISCREPANCIES WERE CORRECTED AND SIGNED OFF AS SUCH PRIOR TO OUR DEP. WE ALSO VERIFIED THAT THE ROUTINE MAINT LINE CHK HAD BEEN PERFORMED. IT HAD BEEN SATISFACTORILY COMPLETED ON THE MORNING OF DEC/XY/98. OUR FLT WAS THE FIRST FLT FOR THIS ACFT SINCE COMPLETION OF THE LINE CHK. AFTER ALL MAINT CONCERNS WERE VERIFIED AND CORRECTED; WE THEN RECHKED THE ACFT AND FOUND IT TO BE READY FOR FLT. THE ROUND TRIP FLT TO SPI AND BACK TO STL WAS NORMAL AND AS EXPECTED WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. GUSTY CONDITIONS AND TURB PREVAILED DURING OUR ARR BACK INTO STL. ALL SYS AND ENG INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL THROUGHOUT OUR FLT. WHILE EXITING THE ACFT AFTER ARR IN STL; THE NEXT CREW PREPARING TO TAKE THE ACFT NOTED SOME MECHANICAL DISCREPANCIES AND ASKED US ABOUT THEM. NONE OF THESE DISCREPANCIES WERE FOUND ON OUR THOROUGH PREFLT. THESE DISCREPANCIES MUST HAVE DEVELOPED DURING OUR FLT FROM SPI TO STL. THESE DISCREPANCIES WERE BROUGHT TO THE ATTN OF THE MAINT DEPT. AGAIN; ALL SYS AND INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL DURING OUR FLT.
