BE40 CREW HAD TRACK DEV.

Narrative

DEPARTED FLL ON FLL 8 (THNDR TRANSITION). I AM FAMILIAR WITH THIS SID AND PROGRAMMED THE DHP VOR AND THE THNDR INTXN INTO THE FMS (AMS 5000). BECAUSE THIS IS A VECTORED SID; YOU ARE VECTORED TO JOIN THE TRANSITION NW OF DHP VOR ON 335 DEG RADIAL. AS THE ACFT APCHED THE PLOTTED LINE BTWN DHP AND THNDR THE FMS INITIATED A TURN TO JOIN. AT THIS TIME THE CTLR INFORMED US THAT IT APPEARED WE HAD TURNED TOO SOON AND WERE GIVEN A HDG OF 270 DEGS. AT THIS TIME WE REVERTED TO VOR NAV ON PLT SIDE SDU AND WERE WAITING FOR INTERCEPTION OF THE 335 DEG RADIAL OUT OF DHP. THE AUTOPLT WAS ENGAGED THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS IN HDG AND 1/2 BANK MODE. AT THIS POINT WHERE WE WERE INTERCEPTING THE 335 DEG RADIAL; I TURNED THE HDG BUG TO INTERCEPT THE RADIAL. AT THIS TIME THE CTLR ISSUED A FURTHER R TURN TO THE N BECAUSE IN 1/2 BANK MODE WE FLEW THROUGH THE RADIAL AND BREACHED THE 5 NM SEPARATION STANDARDS. AT THIS SAME TIME WE WERE ISSUED A CLB FROM 16000 FT TO FL180. DURING THIS PERIOD OF TURNING AND CLBING; SEPARATION REDUCED TO 3.1 NM (CTLR STATEMENT) AND 800 FT VERT. HOWEVER; OUR TCASII NEVER ALERTED AND NEVER SHOWED THE ACFT IN QUESTION.
