PLT OF A PIPER CHEYENNE; PAYE; NOTICED A JET TYPE ACFT ROLLING OUT AND TURNING OFF THE RWY FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION DURING TKOF AT A NON TWR ARPT.

Narrative

AS I TAXIED OUT; THE WIND SOCK WAS LIMP BUT FACING E AND I CHOSE RWY 6. MY CALLS TO UNICOM ON 122.7 WERE NOT ANSWERED. AFTER RUN-UP; I ANNOUNCED MY INTENTIONS TO TAKE RWY 6 FOR TKOF AND DEPART E. I LOOKED FOR ACFT; SAW NONE; AND BEGAN MY TKOF. AT LIFTOFF; I SAW ANOTHER ACFT APCHING FROM THE OPPOSITE END OF RWY. I TURNED R EARLY AND THE APCHING JET TURNED OFF ON A TXWY. WHILE I DON'T THINK THE ACFT WERE EVER CLOSER THAN 1000 FT; IT WAS A DISCONCERTING EXPERIENCE. AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE; INITIAL CALLS TO ZDV WERE NOT ANSWERED. I RECEIVED A CALL ON 121.5 ASKING ABOUT MY PROB. I HAVE A SWITCH WHICH ACTIVATES 121.5 AND OVERRIDES ANY FREQS SET IN THE COM RADIOS. THIS SWITCH WAS ON. I ASSUME THAT I WAS NOT XMITTING OR RECEIVING ON THE 122.7 SET IN THE RADIO. MY TKOF POS (TOUCHDOWN ZONE RWY 6000-7660 FT) WAS 13 FT BELOW THE LISTED ELEVATION OF THE 9402 FT RWY RESULTING IN A PROB SEEING THE OTHER ACFT ON THE OTHER END OF THE RWY. OBVIOUSLY NOT BEING ON THE CTAF FREQ CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE PROB.
