A COMMERCIAL FIXED WING LARGE TRANSPORT ON INITIAL CLB AT 2500 FT HAD SEATS FALL BACKWARDS INJURING 3 PAX.

Narrative

UPON TKOF AT ZZZ INTL ARPT ON FLT XYZ FROM ZZZ TO SANTO DOMINGO; ROW XA DISLATCHED AND FELL BACKWARDS. I WAS NOTIFIED BY MY FLT ATTENDANT OF THIS INCIDENT. THERE WERE 2 PAX SITTING ON ROW XA WHO COMPLAINED OF LOWER BACK AND NECK PAIN. AFTER SOME TIME; THE PAX BEHIND ROW XA COMPLAINED OF PAIN ON HIS LEGS WHERE THE ROW OF SEATS HAD FALLEN ON HIM. I INSTRUCTED THE FE TO HAVE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE READY AT THE GATE UPON ARR. I ALSO TOLD THE FE TO WRITE IN THE LOGBOOK THAT ROW XA HAD FALLEN BACKWARD SO THAT MAINT COULD FIX IT UPON LNDG. IN SANTO DOMINGO THE MAINT CREW SECURED ROW XA. HOWEVER; I GAVE INSTRUCTIONS TO MY FLC NOT TO SEAT ANY PAX IN THIS ROW. I FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE PROB CHKED BY MAINT IN ZZZ BEFORE USING THIS ROW AGAIN FOR PAX. THIS FLC ARRIVED IN SDQ 3 HRS LATE. DUE TO THE ARR TIME; WE WERE TOLD TO UNLOAD AND RELOAD THE PLANE QUICKLY. ALTHOUGH I HAD TOLD THE FE TO WRITE IT UP IN THE LOGBOOK; I FORGOT TO VERIFY THAT MAINT IN SDQ HAD SIGNED THE LOGBOOK. WE REALIZED THIS OVERSIGHT ONCE WE HAD TAKEN OFF. IN ZZZ WE ADVISED MAINT OF THE DISCREPANCY. THEY CHKED AND SECURED ROW XA AND THEN WENT AHEAD AND SIGNED THE LOGBOOK.
