LEAR 60 FLC PROGRAMMED INCORRECT DEP PROC INTO FMC.

Narrative

CLRED ON DEP; THE WENDE 2 PROC. FO RECEIVED CLRNC AND ENTERED IT INTO FMS. FO MISTAKENLY PLUGGED IN WENDE 1. THE WENDE 1 HAD BEEN SUPERCEDED 5 DAYS EARLIER; AND CHART HAD BEEN MISFILED IN CHART BOOK. NEITHER FO NOR I CAUGHT MISTAKE. WE FOLLOWED THE WENDE 1 AND TURNED AT WENDE INTXN. DEP CTLR CAUGHT OUR MISTAKE AND TURNED US BACK BEFORE ANY CONFLICT AROSE. THESE FMS BOXES ARE VERY GOOD; BUT STILL MUST BE CHKED AGAINST CURRENT CHARTS. IT IS VERY EASY TO BE COMPLACENT WITH ALL THE ELECTRONICS. I ALSO BELIEVE THE TYPE OF FLYING CONTRIBUTES TO THESE PROBS. WE WORK FOR A FRACTIONAL PART 91 OP. THERE IS NO CONSISTENCY WITH SCHEDULES OR FLT PLANNING. WE ARE ALWAYS RUSHED AND THE DESTS CONSTANTLY CHANGING. WE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO PREPARE OR REVIEW FLT PLANS AND CHARTS BEFORE GETTING TO THE PLANE FOR THE DAY. ALSO; DUTY DAYS STRETCH TO UNREASONABLE HRS BECAUSE SCHEDULING DOES NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW ANY RULES. I BELIEVE THERE WILL BE MORE OF THESE SILLY MISTAKES WITH THIS TYPE OF OP. THIS HAS BEEN A WAKE-UP CALL TO ME TO SLOW DOWN AND DOUBLECHK EVERYTHING NO MATTER THE PRESSURE FROM THE COMPANY. THE ATC DEP CTLR DID A GREAT JOB; AND WE CALLED HIM TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAD HAPPENED; AND THEN THANK HIM FOR THE GREAT WORK. HE TOLD US TO BE CAREFUL AND PAY ATTN. IT IS SOLID ADVICE.
