MCI APCH ASKED AN ARRIVING ACFT IF THEY HAD STARTED THE TURN TO THE N. RPTR STATES THEY HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN A TURN NOR DID THE ARR NOTE ANYTHING OTHER THAN TO EXPECT RADAR VECTORS.

Narrative

LOCATION: MCI APCH. UPON SWITCHING TO APCH FREQ TO MCI; APCH CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE IN A N TURN YET. WE QUERIED APCH AS TO WHAT TURN TO THE N DID SHE MEAN AS WE DID NOT SEE ANY TURN IN THE NOTES ON THE APCH PLATE INTO MCI. I HAVE FLOWN NUMEROUS TRIPS INTO MCI THIS MONTH AND THIS IS THE ONLY CTLR THAT HAS SAID ANYTHING ABOUT TURNING N ON THE APCH. THE NOTE IN THE APCH PLATE SAYS TO EXPECT VECTORS FOR TURBOJETS. SUGGEST THAT THIS APCH PLATE BE RE-EVALUATED FOR THE INFO IT HAS ON IT BEFORE SOMEONE GETS VIOLATED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT DURING DSCNT INTO MCI; APCH ASKED IF THEY HAD STARTED THE TURN TO THE N. THE FLC RESPONDED THAT THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED A HDG; AT WHICH TIME THE CTLR FIRMLY INFORMED THEM THAT THE HDG WAS ON THE ARR CHART. THE RPTR INDICATED THAT THE EXCHANGE BTWN THE FLC AND APCH CTLR BECAME SOMEWHAT HEATED AND WERE UNSURE IF THE CTLR INTENDED TO FILE A VIOLATION OR NOT. THE PLT FELT THE ARR PAGE CONTAINS INFO THAT CONTRADICTS ITSELF. AFTER REVIEWING THE ARRS; IT APPEARS THAT THE NARRATIVE AND DEPICTED INFO ARE CONSISTENT.
