A LEAR 35 FLC EXPERIENCED LNDG GEAR INDICATOR PROBS ON LNDG AT LGA.
Narrative
WE WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL FOR RWY 31; HAD CONTACTED TWR AND WERE DOWNWIND. WHEN I CALLED FOR THE GEAR DOWN; I HEARD IT CYCLE AND THE OTHER PLT CALLED OUT THAT WE ONLY HAD 2 GREEN GEAR LIGHTS. ALL 3 RED 'GEAR UNSAFE' LIGHTS WERE OUT. AS I TURNED BASE; HE CYCLED THE GEAR WITH THE SAME RESULT. WE ADVISED THE TWR WE NEEDED TO GO AROUND; THAT WE HAD A GEAR INDICATION PROB. THEY GAVE US A HDG AND ALT AND VECTORED US BACK INTO SEQUENCE FOR A L DOWNWIND. WE EXTENDED THE GEAR RESULTING IN ONLY 2 GREEN AND NO RED LIGHTS. I PULLED THE PWR TO IDLE TO SEE IF WE WOULD GET THE GEAR HORN. WE DID NOT. IN A LEAR 35 YOU WILL GET THIS HORN IF ALL 3 GEAR ARE NOT LOCKED DOWN. WE THEN ASKED TWR TO VISUALLY CHK THE GEAR ON THE R SIDE TO VERIFY IT WAS EXTENDED AND THE LNDG LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED WHEN WE PERFORMED A FLY-BY. THEY VERIFIED IT APPEARED DOWN AND THE LNDG LIGHTS WERE BOTH LIT. IN A LEAR 35 THE LNDG LIGHT WILL NOT ILLUMINATE UNLESS THE GEAR IS LOCKED DOWN. WE LEFT THE GEAR DOWN AFTER THE FLY-BY; ENTERED THE SAME DOWNWIND AND ON DOWNWIND THE LIGHT CAME ON AND WE LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
