FLC OF AN MDT TURBOPROP CLBED IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA.

Narrative

OPERATING AS ACR X FLT XX MIA-FPO; CRUISING AT 7000 FT ON BR 66V; AN ACR Y WAS FLL-NAS LEVEL AT 6000 FT CONVERGING FROM OUR 7 O'CLOCK POS. ON ANOTHER FREQ THE ACR Y FLT WAS TOLD OF OUR POS AND THEY APPARENTLY ADVISED THEY COULD KEEP US IN SIGHT TO CLB TO 8000 FT. THIS WAS UNKNOWN TO US. AS THEY CLBED AND APCHED US FROM OUR 7 O'CLOCK POS; TCASII CHANGED TO ADVISORY WITH THEM AT 1000 FT LOWER AND CLBING; CONVERGING TOWARDS US. VERY QUICKLY; TCASII ADVISED RA AND TO CLB IMMEDIATELY AT LEAST 4000 FPM TO AVOID TFC. I; AS CAPT AND ON THE BEST SIDE TO VIEW THE TFC FROM OUR L AND SLIGHTLY BEHIND; SAW THE ACR Y FLT BE1900. THE ACR Y FLT WAS VERY CLOSE AND CLBING. WE RESPONDED TO THE RA AND CLBED TO APPROX 8500 FT PRIOR TO CONFLICT RESOLUTION. ATC WAS ADVISED AND HE STATED THAT ANOTHER CTLR HAD ALLOWED THE FLT TO CLB WITH US IN SIGHT. TO CORRECT THIS FROM RECURRING; CTLR ON ONE FREQ SHOULD AT LEAST ADVISE THE NEXT SECTOR'S CTLR OF A CONVERGING FLT PATH AND THAT ONE ACFT IS KEEPING VISUAL BUT THE OTHER (MINE) KNOWS NOTHING OF IT.
