Narrative
THE CAPT AND I HAD BEGUN OUR SEQUENCE AT XA55 ON A ROUTINE FLT. DURING THE FLT; DISPATCH CONTACTED US TO NOTIFY US THAT UPON OUR ARR AT OUR DEST WE WOULD BE DOING A MAINT FLT OF ANOTHER ACFT. I WAS BEING RELIEVED OF DUTY AFTER THE MAINT FLT AND MY CAPT WOULD CONTINUE THE SEQUENCE WITH ANOTHER CAPT FOR AN FAA LINE CHK. UPON ARR THE CAPT HAD ABOUT 1 HR 15 MINS BEFORE THE NEXT FLT SO WE WENT TO THE ACFT WHICH WAS TO BE FLOWN FOR THE MAINT CHK AND DID OUR PREFLT. WE TAXIED AND TOOK OFF AND DID ONE TURN IN THE PATTERN. THE TWR ASKED US WHAT WE WANTED TO DO AND I RESPONDED TO RETURN TO THE ARPT. HE ASKED US VISUAL OR AN ILS APCH. CAPT WANTED THE VISUAL SO I TOLD ATC AND HE ASKED US IF WE HAD IT (RWY) IN SIGHT. THE CAPT SAID 'YES' AT WHICH POINT WE WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL. ON OUR BASE LEG CAPT ASKED FOR THE GEAR AND FLAPS; AT WHICH POINT I BEGAN DOING MY BEFORE LNDG CHKS. I LOOKED OVER TO THE RWY AND I COULD NOT SEE IT BECAUSE IT WAS VERY HAZY. I TOLD THE CAPT IT WAS HAZY AND I COULD NOT SEE THE RWY. HE RESPONDED IT IS OVER THERE SOMEWHERE. I HAD THE ILS SET IN ON MY SIDE AND AS SOON AS I NOTICED WE HAD GONE THROUGH THE COURSE INTO THE VICINITY OF THE OTHER RWY (PARALLEL) WE GOT A TA ON TCASII. TWR ASKED US IF WE HAD THE RWY IN SIGHT. CAPT SAID; 'YES WE DO.' I RESPONDED TO TWR 'YES;' BUT I DID NOT HAVE IT IN SIGHT. WE CORRECTED THE SIT AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. I BELIEVE THE CAPT WAS IN A HURRY TO GET HIS NEXT FLT OUT IN TIME WHICH LED TO THE PROB; ALSO BECAUSE I AM NEW AND WAS DOING IOE; I WAS LACKING THE ASSERTIVENESS TO CORRECT THE SIT. I LEARNED MY LESSON.
